Crap, I forgot to ask you how you like the XDS .45? Pros and cons?

Pros: Very nice shootin gun. Has taken whatever ammo I fancied, and only jammed once or twice while I was breaking it in. Ever since then she's handled like a champ. Also very comfortable to conceal inside the waistband. Easy to break down and clean.
Cons: It's almost so small that if you have bigger hands you ought to think about adding a Pachmyr grip to it.

I May have to go put hands on one of those pistols. Been eyeballing that gun. Love my 1911, but just would like something a tad smaller.

Any tried the Xd Mod 2.0?

Need something smaller and easier to conceal than my VP9.

I put my hands on one, still a double stack. Still a bit to CC.

Here is a good comparison between the XDS vs Mod2.

I recently picked up a SW Shield. I have several carry guns but am very impressed with this gun. Matched it up with an Alien Gear IWB holster. If your looking for a single stack, I would definatly take a look at these. Come in 9 and 40 and can also get it with a Crimson Trace laser.

Bought the VP9 for my wife, she has yet to fire it. I'm keeping it for myself. Absolutely love it.

That is actually pretty nice option to have. Nice work on the colors/badging. When living in CA, I would do ride alongs with the Fresno County Sherrif department a lot. A couple of the deputies became good friends and gave me a good deal on a brand new, Sig P226 for just under 600.00 that the department was purchasing for them. I took full advantage of that deal.

My not so little .54 cal flintlock rifle. 42" barrel and 14" length of pull. Extra curly maple stock. One of my favorite guns I've ever owned. Any other black powder shooters on here?

I, like you, prefer a big bullet over a smaller one. But after seeing pics of the wound channels created by AKs and ARs, I'd damn near rather get shot with an AK!

Imagine back in the day when mini balls were used. Had to really suck getting hit with one of those. Low tech, but deadly.

Have you had any issues with the amby mag release and CC it? I have seen several reviews were this was an issue when sitting down, mag popped out. Makes me wonder what holster they were using though.
