Here is the information on clips for the headliner on a CM cab and how to remove it. B9D6E0EB-B6F4-45AF-BB9B-7372C3F25B50.jpg C9257254-5DF7-4746-947A-296D99FDF968.jpg

Awesome, Thanks! Been debating on whether or not to Dynamat the roof but I hate removing headliners. Now I'm going to tackle it.

Good deal. The biggest pain is removing the handles on the roof. Make sure and roll your rear window down first. You will also want to disconnect your battery since your working around the side curtain air bags. The rear clips near the back window are plastic clips. If you have a moonroof it’s just velcro holding around the edges. There will be some torques screws hidden behind the clear light lenses on the ceiling. It’s not as bad to remove as you may think.

I ordered a 240 amp alternator for my build. This is the biggest alternator they make for my 17 Tundra. I’m also replacing my battery and battery tray. Alternator does take 3 weeks to build. I like that you can select the color of the alternator. It is a direct plug and play replacement but the pulley is a little smaller. So I will need to change my belt with a 1/2” shorter belt.

Both. Lol I’m doing a complete audio system and with all my lights I should upgrade the stock alternator.

I had the bed of my truck re sprayed today. It was looking bad from all the construction and paint materials that have been in it. So for $200 cash it looks like new again. 8ECCC3AC-BA85-419F-8409-BF5C45072E23.jpg

Based on your statement about the smaller pulley I'm assuming that it's a Mechman alternator? What belt will you be using? I was thinking of doing the same things. Also, what battery tray and batteries will you be going with?

Yes sir. I’m going with the Mechman 240 amp alternator. It’s $424 painted your choice of color. No tax unless you live in TN. I don’t know what belt yet. I figured that is something I won’t know until I have the alternator in my hands. I’m going with Savior Protected Showcase 27 battery case and I have the Shuriken AGM 2400 Watt battery. I’m pushing the size of battery for the tray so I may have to change my battery if it doesn’t fit. I’ll know for sure tomorrow when my Savior Protected tray arrives.

Yes sir. The 1/4” dynaliner made a big difference in the heat transfer from the outside heat into the cab. I still have my hood liner down still and when I place my hand on the dynaliner it doesn’t feel hot like it did before. So I would definitely recommend sound deadening and dynaliner if your thinking about it.

You work hard and play hard!!!! You're living the dream man. I think it's cool how you do so much fully custom work to your truck. Alot of not my taste but the fact it's custom and you put so much thought into everything is awesome. I look forward to checking yiur build thread every day. Keep it up man!!!

Im sure he has bills, and I bet his bills total way more than mine, but who cares. Clearly he works hard, does some amazing work, and is compensated for it. The way I see it, we're all lucky to be able to follow along with his build and get some really great ideas from him.

Thank you Sean! I think each person should make their truck the way they want it. I understand my choices aren’t going to be liked by everyone and that’s fine with me. I do like to do things on my truck that I either haven’t seen yet or that haven’t been done yet. I’ve already got plans for my next Tundra Build in 2020. It’s going to be totally different than my current setup. I’ll keep posting as I get time to do the work.

Cool sounding truck but not for me. I don’t like a slammed truck for my personal taste. I was thinking of a CM SC, full fiberglass fender conversion, total bed off conversion for long travel shocks, bump stops, a legit long travel suspension and a few other ideas I don’t want to share until I do my next build. I want to wait for the fourth gen tundra and who knows if it will be what I want until it’s released.

So what would you estimate you would need total to cover floor, back wall, 4 doors and roof (without moon roof)? 108 sq ft approx?

Depends on how much coverage you want. I used around 104sf of dynamat for the floor back wall and inner and outer door skins, add the roof of another 24sf and you are just under 130sf (without sunroof). Plus any dynaliner you want to add to that. I know @1UPPER is going to go crazy with the dynamat and likely use 140sf some how!

I would agree with @Cfincke. I will find a way to use 140 sq ft. lol. I haven’t measured Exactly how much it will take just yet.
