Sticker on mine was 44K, paid 41K out the door and had the dealer throw in a tri fold tonneau cover and bed extender. My CM is SR5 with TRD package.

Get a quote through costco auto. If you pay more than that, you are throwing money away. Its a guaranteed price that you can bring to another dealership and try to have them beat it.

Danimal86, did you go through the whole Costco Auto process (fill in your information on costco's website, etc), or just price the vehicle and print it out to take to the dealer?

That is what mine was with step rails. I had dealer removing them for $400 credit so it was $39.1 and they were really whining. Also they were doing a trade and price included any dealer add ons. I wanted another $1k on my trade and they would not do it so I walked. Glad I did because I got TSS for about the same price. You can figure another $1k for 2018. I priced both.

I didn’t pay anything. As usual, I signed a few papers and they gave me a truck. My wife keeps saying I’m forgetting something, but I don’t really pay attention to her.

COSTCO is the way to go. Get that invoice price and go lower with Toyota cash back if it is offered. Get out of the hot seat and negotiate all through email.
Msrp on my truck (same specs as OP, sr5 CM w/ sr5 upgrade package, 4x4, no TRD) was 41.2k and I got it down to 36.4k before Taxes/fees.

Shoot for at least 10% off MSRP, that seems to be the average.

Will be getting my ‘18 Cement CM this month (god willing!). Do you guys believe in the whole “go at the end of the month and haggle” theory? I’ve heard mixed opinions, and that it doesn’t matter to much if you try to wait til the end of the month. Thoughts?

Not sure about the wait to the end of the month thing. depends on who you're dealing with i think. The thought is at the end of the month the sales guy is trying to hit goals for bigger bonus' so they're more willing to deal.

If buying new it's easy to get the consumer report on the truck you want and you can set your price for the truck based on that. I generally dont haggle much or play games. Go in, tell them you arent going to sit around all day... test drive the truck you want (if you havent already), tell them what you're willing to pay and get up and walk out if they try to haggle. "This is what I want. This is what I'm willing to pay. If you cant make that happen lets not waste each others time." - dont be an asshole about it, but i think being upfront and honest makes the process easier - i'm not one for those kinds of games.

TSS (black) package (20" rims, off road tires, side steps, black out badges, all weather floor mats)
Entune Premium Nav w/ backup camera
    Connectivity package
    spray in bed liner
    bed cargo lights
    remote start
(there may be more, but that's what I can remember off the top of my head)

    Added to purchase:
    Leather seats
    Tri fold bed cover

    Rough Numbers:
MSRP around 50k, Paid 44k pre TTL, 47k after TTL, out the door for 49k with 6 years toyota care (all scheduled maintenance covered), tires and rim protection - financed 41k at 0% with 6k trade in and 2k cash.
He also added a few thousand to my trade in to match KBB private sale.

Not the deal of the century, but it's ok. I didnt use the method in my last post on this thread because i was going through a friend of a friend. Got employee pricing on the Toyota care and it seems like it was a fair deal after all is said and done.

I'm in the market for a 2018 CM SR5 and the lowest quote I have right now is 33.3k from which every other dealer thinks its crazy to sell a brand new 2018 tundra SR5 5.7

I'm not in the truck sales business, but that does sound crazy low. Talking to the guy when I was buying mine he said he had more wiggle room on the SR5's because they had a ton of them. Maybe it's just that dealer, but they dont seem to keep a ton of stock in the higher trim lines, so you have less room to make a deal.

As I understand it there's a few ways the sales guys / dealers make their money - of course there's the difference of the price they payed for the vehicle and the price you pay, but they also get bonus' for number of vehicles sold. I've seen people get under invoice on their cars, but you have to catch the right sales guy at the right time.

My deal was almost exact same. They wouldn’t budge anymore and I wasn’t going to go through more hassle over the potential 1-2k savings

Not sure! They took my Ram and I took the Tundra. "Just give me a blue one" is about all I said. I haven't seen a check engine light since and that was November 2014.

You can get it lower than 44K. Also have them throw in stuff like tonneau cover, spray in liner, window tint, tailgate extender and clear paint protection. Paid 41K for mine and had dealer throw in all that.
