    Readylift 3/1
Hello everyone. I am new to this forum so please go easy on me. I have a 2015 Tundra TRD 2WD. I recently installed a Readylift 3/1. I wanted to keep the stock 18 inch rims but put new 295/70r18 Nitto Trail Grapplers on. All the research I did on this site and other forums stated I would not have a problem installing 295/70/18 tires on stock 18 inch rims with a 3/1 lift level, but when I went to install the 295/70 r18 Trail Grapplers on the front, the wheels would not fit because the tire was hitting the Upper Control Arm. Again, all my research led me to believe a could put a 295/70 r18 on with no modification so i was shocked to find the UCA was preventing the wheel from being put on.
So, here I am. Did I possibly do something wrong in during the 3 inch spacer install? The truck was running great with the Readylift install and wheel alignment.
What are my options now? Do I need spacers on? If yes, how big? Were all the posts stating 295/70 R18s Trail Grapplers on stock 18 inch rims with a 3inch lift would fit with no modifications? I do not want to buy new rims at this time

No spacers? Is your truck lifted? I'm thinking my 3 inch lift dropped the UCA too much. Looms like spacers for me. Thank you.

A little of this and a little of that.

I have 295/70/18's trail Grapplers on a 3.5" leveling kit but I have 1.25" SpiderTrax spacers cause I like the look of the stance. Sounds like wheel spacers would be your cheapest fix. Sorry I'm not more help.

How high was your truck on the jack? Possibility the suspension was drooped too much?

If you choose spacer, I ran 'em for more than year, DON'T cheap out. Bora or Spiertrax are the only ones I'd run.

I can vouch for SpiderTrax. I've had mine on for over a year through street and 4x4'n without any problems.

I've run Bora on the Tundra and Spidertrax on the 4runner. No problems with either. Use red loctite and torque to spec - If you do check torque set your wrench a couple ft lbs short of torque spec, that way you don't risk breaking the loctite.

I was having trouble deciding what to do about spares and tires for the trailer. Then Discount tires direct had Methods for $160 ea. and I was finally able to decide

I have a standard 4 ton jack. I was able to get the sway bar, struct and other bolts back in just fine.

Thanks everyone. I'm going with Spidertrax Spacers. I'm picking them up this morning. Not sure what to go with, the 1.25 or 1.5. Probably buy them both to see what looks better.

Just for more info: here are some pics. Stock trd off road 2014 (suspension and wheels). 275/70 r18 BFG KO2’s. This is the clearance I have with my UCA. 1.25-1.5”

    93A69557-C4D3-479E-9441-5D78DAB4EBA4.jpg 430AADC6-DCED-44FD-9FFA-B78EF745A212.jpg 37622F33-529A-4473-8746-962A8B30D2CE.jpg
A ½” more (from the 295) shouldn’t give much issue.

Also, road salt is a bastard.

I can't figure out what's wrong. I have about the same clearance right now with 275/65 r18. Your UCA looks a like more angled up than mine. I thinking more and more something went wrong with my Readylift 3/1 installation.

I don’t know enough about suspension / suspension geometry to tell you if that’s what is happening in your case.
Sorry man. Maybe some other folks can chime in that know more about that sort of thing

Even though people have fit the 295's on stock wheels, they are still close. I know my 275/70/18 were close and while the 295's should fit, every truck is slightly different. I don't think anything is wrong with your lift install, I think the main issue is the trail grapplers run a little bigger than advertised. If you were to test fit a terra grappler or something that doesn't have those big lugs on the side, you would probably fit.

Either way, I'd pick up a set of those spacers and call it a day.

So I've always heard bad things about wheel spacers except that Spidertrax and Bora are the best. How good are they? I don't do any heavy off reading but I want confidence because I plan on using my factory TRD OR wheels and because of that I'm limited on tire size plus this is my only vehicle. Let's say I wanted to do 295/70/18 with 6112 at 1.9 or OME 612 is that doable? Can I trust the spacers with my life so to speak?

I ran Spidertrax off road and on for roughly 15k w/o any issues.

I have a 3/1 level and 295/70/18 ridge grapplers and no issues. I do have new wheels which have a +20 offset so i think that helps with clearance.
