Any fellow members do the annual "Murph"?

For those not familiar, this is the workout:

    For time*
    -1 mile run
    -100 pullups
    -200 pushups
    -300 air squats
    -1 mile run
    *with a 20lb weight vest*

It is by far my favorite hero WOD! I have participated in it the past 5 years.

Supposed to be 100 degrees here in Texas so it should be wonderful for the workout Monday!:oldglory:

You lost me at "1 mile run"
I'm out of breath just thinking about this.

I could probably do the runs . . . pushups? Nope. Squats . . . unlikely, but I would do better with squats vs pushups.

We got our neighbors to join with us this year so it should be fun!

Last year the heat got me a bit and my time was slower than usual at around 55 minutes(just moved to Texas April of last year).

First, would love too, but with a sprained neck and back, I cannot. Also, I believe it is 100 pullups, 200 pushups, 300 air squats, then a second 1 mile run

I would be willing, but pullups would get me. Chin ups no problem. Need to work on pullups.

Back when I did Crossfit, I did Murph a total of 2 times without the vest. Fucking brutal. I couldn't walk up or down stairs for 2 days after the first one. And I lived in a 3 story townhouse. lol

I tip my hat to you sir.

Before I moved down here, I made it a Saturday ritual to perform this workout(sometimes with the vest and other times without). I have learned to enjoy it. The temporary pain is worth the satisfaction of completion.

Active rest day 2 mile run. That alone hurt with this heat. The heat really adds a whole other dimension to workouts. Murph tomorrow. Ready to rock no matter how long it takes.

great WOD, I used to do it couple times a year when I was into Crossfit. I think i tried many strategies..20 rounds of 5/10/15 worked the best for me.
Final mile was brutal. Didn't really care for Crossfit pull ups (kipping)

I use the same strategy. I hate kipping pull-ups. I stick to strict. I like CrossFit but don’t follow some of the movements used.
