2015 tundras SR5 TSS package. 3/1 leveling kit 285/75R18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers
Hello all. I’m new here. I’ve been trying to find threads about fittment issues with 285/75R18 tires. I just wanted to start a thread about these tires. I have a 2015 Tundra with a 3/1 leveling kit. I have 18” wheels with a 25mm offset. I’m running Nitto Ridge Grapplers size 285/65R18. I wanted to let people know that this setup works well. I didn’t have to do a cmc. I just removed the front two flaps and had to do some minor trimming on the bumper plastic. The set up is sweet. I hope this helps anyone looking at this set up. I don’t know if it will work for any other generations, but in the 3rd gen tundras, it works awesome.

I like those wheels. I was actually between those you got and the Vision Warriors I got. Only reason I went with the warriors is because I wasn't sold on those MB wheels photoshopped on my truck, and thought mine would look a little better with more chrome. Sweet setup!

I have Method Standards 18x9 +20 and Toyo 285/75/18, didn't have to do the CMC (BMC). I did cut the skidplate ears off, but I did that before I even owned the new tires so can't verify if it was necessary or not. No mud flaps of course, but they could potentially fit with some modification.

They’re 285/75’s. I forgot I had to bend my skid plate. But I also did that before I got my new tires.

I used the fat bob 3/1 leveling kit. It’s exactly the same as the rough country. I did this one to get tires for now, but I’m planning on doing the Bilstein coilovers

The rims are MB’s. I like them a lot. They have a bigger load rating than the fuels I was looking at. Plus way cheaper

Thought those looked familiar. Same as the ones I have. They look much better on yours with the lift and bigger tires!

Thanks Blueribbon15 and Tundradrenalin, those are both great looking trucks! Appreciate the detailed lift and tire&wheel info. I got way too much negative space around these stock 275/55R20's and "need" to upgrade for summer.

Thanks for the inspiration Blueribbon15, I pulled the trigger this past weekend! I went with the 285/75R18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on 18X9 Fuel Cleaver D574 wheels with 20mm offset/5.75" backspacing. I only had to trim inner front bumper plastic, the tires rub the cab mount a little bit at full turn, as expected, since I only have a 2.4" spacer up front and not the full 3/1 lift. Not sure if I'm going to do the CMC or the 3/1 lift, but either way it would definitely clear the cab mount then. Also, you guys were right, I have almost 2" of clearance at full turn for the factory skid plate, so no trimming required there with this setup!

The pics look great. I also just purchased the 285/75/18 ridge grapplers and the 3 in 1 leveling kit from supreme suspensions. I have a 2014 tundra TRD and planning to keep my 18” TRD wheels. I think they have a 55 offset. I’m wondering if this setup will work? I’d prefer not to use wheel spacers. Thanks in advance.

I believe those wheels are +60 offset, and I believe you’ll need em. I do seem to remember a guy or two that’ve run stock wheels on 295/70’s and didn’t need em though, but I could be wrong.

I just put 285/75/18 duratrac on 2017 stock trd wheels. 2.5”/1” lift, no spacers, no CMC, a wee bit of frame rub at full lock. Stock skid plate had to go due to its width.

get a heat gun or torch
    leather gloves
    squirt bottle with water

turn tire all the way inwards to give you some clearance
remove lower small mud flaps if there are any.
heat up area that is rubbing and surrounding area. if using torch it happens very quickly. press firmly into the plastic to bend it away from the tire with fingers. hold it and squirt water to cool the plastic in place. its thermal plastic so it will hold its shape when it cools. repeat till it doesnt rub anymore

That’s my plan with the fender liner. Problem now is that I’m rubbing on the cab mount.
i researched the hell out of all my options and it didn’t work. Alignment is golden. Offset is +20. I should have no problems whatsoever.
Im gonna start searching to see if I can find someone in the Houston area to do the CMC.
