Removing Dealer Back Window Stickers

The new Highlander has the stupid dealer ".Com" sticker on the back window. What is the best way to get it off? Thanks.

 

If it's a decal on the outside, glass cleaner and a razor blade.

 

It is on the outside. I am worried about scratching the glass with the razor blade.

 

Just keep blade flat to glass. I have bladed whole windshields with no problems. Do it before RainEx to get glass super clean

 

heat it with heat gun or blow dryer and peel off with fingers

 

Tell the dealer you won't sign until the stickers are gone. That's what I do.

If you are scared of the razor blade, there are some fairly sharp and hard plastic scrapers I have found at Home Depot. A little Goo Gone will help will residual adhesive.

 

It’s almost impossible to scratch glass with a razor blade.

 

Unfortunately joon this is not true. I have seen much glass scratched by razor blades. If the blades are new, sharp and fresh and used with a liberal amount of soapy water the damage is less likely. Careful use and experience helps. Ask any professional glass cleaner.

 

Yeah it can be scratched, but if it’s a flat razor blade and you keep it flat on the glass, you really need to do something wrong to scratch it. Stone is a lot harder than steel. Now if you’re using a utility knife or something that won’t lay flat, and use the sharp point, that’s a lot easier to screw up.

 

Heat gun.....

 

Take it to an old school military cop..... they can do it for ya scraping base decals off a windshield so much it makes you an expert.

But seriously... any of the above suggestions will work.... you can also try (if you or your wife are into them) lemon essential oil. It'll work on the sticky like to Goo Gone.... but better (imo) and smells better.... and of course the razor blade

 

Thanks for the advice guys. I ended up using a hairdryer and peeling the lettering off with my fingernail. It took about 2 minutes. I hesitated using a razor blade because my Tundra had an add-on sticky convex mirror on the left mirror. It looked bad so I removed it but there was some double stick tape residue left and I took a flat razor blade to it. I thought that I was being careful but I ended up scratching the mirror surface.
