So i've been reading the forum non-stop and of course, this is not a cheap hobby. With that being said, I wanted to hear what others list as their Top 5 Essential MODs for new Tundra owners. I guess I should break it out by performance tier and aesthetic tier.

Some members have suggested sway bars and the frac harness. Two awesome MODs. So sorry if this topic has been slaughtered to death. Maybe someone can link me an old thread to read.

So lets hear it all the vets out there! Thanks as always.

    Cheers

    Tin

Granted I didn't do it in this order, but my top five mods are

    1. Bed liner- lynex or rhino
    2. Seat covers
    3. Husky/weather tech floor liners
    4. Ceramic coat paint protection ---and is too soft IMO
    5. New wheels- nothing wrong with the stock except everyone around here has them. Need to be different, plus I wanted a more aggressive stance.

As far as necessary, I would vote for bedliner as well as rear diff breather.

    5. Cherokee hair floor mats - because nothing is more absorbent than Cherokee hair http://www.comedycentral.co.uk/south-park/videos/commercial-break
    6. Leveling lift - thanks to Bilstein 5100's and Toytec shackles.
    7. Replaced shifter with custom 3D printed shift knob.
    8. GoRhino RB20 running boards mounted backwards - because everything is better backwards - cowgirls, flips, dyslexia, running boards, etc.
    9. New found superiority complex to my douchy neighbor in his old @ss Raptor.

    1. What do you plan on doing with your truck? Offroading it? Street queen? Kid hauler? Dog hauler? Show truck? Work truck?

    2. With your screen name, are you by chance a sheet metal worker?

No just some off road and work truck. My real name is tin so growing up, everyone called me tinman. Wish I was a sheet metal worker. I would have mad skills to mod my tundra. :)

In any case, I'm a total newbie and just starting to learn. I love seeing all the tundras on here. Gonna go broke before the truck is even paid off. Lol. Man there is probably a thread in here on how to sneak mods in behind the wifey back. Lol

    Gave you a "like" bro:
    1. For your avatar.
    2. Because I have RB20's mounted "backwards".
    3. Not sure what a pantless burnout is but sounds intriguing...

I've done a lot of things the past year, I'd say the number one thing I would do right away is install the TRD rear sway bar, it has a very noticeable effect on ride quality.

Top 5 "MODS" (some are a stretch to be a real mod)

    1. ESP rear seat storage
    2. Center console organizer*
    3. Always on 12 volt (cig. lighter)
    4. Heavy duty floor liners*
    5. Phone holder*

    *Various options from different manufacturers.

If you click my build thread below you can see all I did but I think at least the top three should have been included in stock trim.
