whenver i hit the exact speeds of 45-50mph, the truck starts to almost bounce, i mainly only feel it when accelerating through those speeds, or decelerating through that speed. I wanna say has to do with an alignment? Or i need to get my tires rotated? Could that be what it is? Any help is appreciated.

Do a tire rotation and have them balanced. Speed dependent vibrations are typically a balance problem.

If you haven't washed your vehicle in a long time there could be a lot of dirt on the tires/wheels that are throwing off the balance. I actually went to the shop for this same exact thing and after there inspections he laughed and took it through the car wash and said good as new lol.

Unbalanced tires mostly make the steering wheel vibrate, don't make the truck bounce

I had similar issues with my 2010 4Runner, I had the tires given a "road force" balancing. I think that is a balancing that compensates for tires that are a little older and have worn unevenly. I think. Anyway, it did the trick.

Anything with a solid front axle pretty much. It's also much more severe, like rip the wheel out of your hands bad. It happened to my Jeep doing 65 on the interstate and it's terrifying.

I had this problem on my 06 Limited Crew Cab. It occurred as accelerating. Shook the U joints on the drive shafts and found play in the center drive shaft support bearing. Problem gone replacing U Joints and new center support bearing. Took my son and I about 5 hours on the driveway! Check the joints for play by moving with your hands!

I'm getting a vibration and a a violent shaking randomly at freeway speeds on the right front of the vehicle. It gets worse with braking but then goes away after slowing down. thought it might have been bad rotors but just put new ones on and still having the issue. Going to try pads next.
New wheels and tires, wheel bearings, LBJ, ubj, otr, and toytec lift have less then 10k miles.

Could this be the CV axle starting to go out ?
It's just so weird that shaking randomly comes and goes

My truck had been doing this for 4+ years and no one could seem to figure it out! I took it to an off-road shop, the dealership, my mechanic, a few other mechanics, I changed the rotors and pads, installed new tires, balanced the tires, got an alignment, had the joints inspected, I tried everything and nothing fixed it!

FINALLY, I took it to a transmission shop and he knew right away what it was. The TORQUE CONVERTER went bad and that caused the shaking around the 45mph especially when going in a bit of an incline. I had the torque converter replaced along with a few other pieces. Since I “waited” so long to get it replaced it caused additional damaged to other components .

I’ve been driving it and so far have put about 100 miles on it an I haven’t felt it!

It cost about $2900.00 yikes.... but truck is now at 260k miles, I got it when it had 30k miles and (knock on wood) that the only thing I’ve ever had to fix.

Hope this helps anyone who’s been struggling with this for years like I have.

Check your tires for signs of uneven tire wear (usually tells the story). You could have a problem with your toe adjustment and or camber. Most likely an alignment is in order.

Rotate + Balance + Alignment, should do the trick.

Just bought my 2010 Tundra and have noticed a whirring, sounds like coming from tires and feeling a shimmy, sometimes light and other times much more aggressive. Getting tires this weekend put on along with alignment so hopefully that takes care of it. Would hate to find out it was the converter.
