On the way to de-chroming the interior. Door handles replaced with the satin-silver. Air-vent bezels are next, they will be textured black same as the vent slats. Satin-silver on the cup holder bezel.

Anyone have the steering wheel badge vinyl wrapped? If so, post your thoughts, pics. I have seen the shift surround painted from a few other Tundra owners, not sure what route I'll go with that.

For anyone interested, the swap is really easy. There are step-by-step door panel removal vids on YouTube (takes less than 5-10 min to pull off door panel). Once the door panel is off, there are 2 mechanical wires for the door lock and door handle release, they slide-out of a tongue & groove slot, 2 Phillips screws hold the handle onto the inside of the door panel, with those removed the handle assembly comes right out, swap and repeat the steps to put door panel back on.

TIP: Have a stand placed at the door height under the door panel (old box or milk crate), once the door panel is free from the truck, you can rest the panel on that stand while you replace the door handle assembly. I found that the stand helped quite a bit.

    Comparison satin-silver vs chrome

Monochromatic look much better IMO, matches the silver on door trim

Bought the handles online vendor, they are not OEM but I can't tell the difference from the stock chrome handles I removed. Bought a set of (4).

If anyone is looking for a set of (4) oem chrome door handles, PM me.

On the steering wheel, I wanted to de-chrome the Toyota badge, vinyl wrap seems like the best option since the badge is non-removable on the airbag pod.

I think on the Platinum & 1794 Toyota adds chrome handles to "make it upscale" they would be doing us a favor if they didn't.

Google Tundra interior door handles, there are several vendors that sell handles.

Blacked out the cup-holder bezel recently, trim rings around the air vents are next.

Had a body shop paint it, they have done all my color match. They call the black "trim black". I had them prime and put several coast since that bezel is in an area where its subject to drink cups going in and out.

I would imagine same could be completed with a sand/prep and several coats with a good spray-paint.

I replaced my chrome interior door handles with black, almost traded mt buddy for his silver, ended up selling my chrome so it worked out.
I painted my cup holder trim black, as well as the shifter bezel and they came out great.
I used some pre cut vinyl for my vent circles and they also came out pretty good.
The steering wheel chrome badge is held on in a way it isn't easily removed and replaced. Something to do with the air bags I'm sure so I haven't messed with it. I used some rustoleum peel coat with it in place and it did not work well, I think good old fashioned plastidip will be next and I think it'll work just fine.
