Called my salesman and asked about the "Heated tow mirrors with signals". Since he is checking on it I will ask here as well. Is it an option to have them factory installed or just a dealer/self install?

Definitely want them either way - whether I order a Tundra or find one that fits my criteria on a dealer lot. Thanks

Price check them with sparks http://www.trdsparks.com

They are not hard to install. If the dealer charges to install them and you can use a socket wrench, just do them yourself. They are just plug and play.

Was just wondering if they were offered as a factory install item. If not, it would be an easy enough install to do myself. Thanks!

Takes 20 minutes max.. All you need the plastic tool to remove the pins on the screw covers and 10mm long socket..

I don't think this is a factory installed option. I haven't seen it included in any of the packages.

Actually they are a factory installed option. When I ordered mine back in July 2014 I added the tow mirrors for only $50 - well worth it.

When I was buying my truck I asked for the dealer to add tow mirrors. He informed me they could only be installed at the plant and NOT the dealer. I had to special order my truck just to get the toy mirrors. This was last month......

I worked at toyota of warren for 10 years and that is the best way because if they order then at the dealership they are over $400 but they can order and install them

It may be different in other areas but I did it several times for customers over the years, or maybe the people at the dealership dont know they can do that
