I'm looking to replace my leaf springs. This is my daily driver that I regularly take off road through the sand dunes at higher speeds and washed out rutted roads at slower speeds. I also want to be able to tow 3-4k pounds. I was thinking of just having a custom Deaver set built to my needs, then I remembered about the Icon's. I called Deaver and they said that I need to use shackles for the leaf springs and that I could use the set that I have now from BDS. I also called another shop about the custom built Deaver's and they said that I don't need to use shackles. Which springs and with or without shackles?

My understanding was that it's required to run 3/4" shackles if you're running the Deaver K37 pack. It equals out to somewhere around 1.5-2" of lift. And from what I've been told you can still tow around 3k or so with the K37'a without them squatting. I've never seen anything say you HAVE to run shackles with the Icon pack. This question is really @Hattori's area of expertise.

When I talked to Deaver, they said that I shouldn't use the K37 for the weight I'll be loaded with and that the best option would to be a custom build. My shackles from bolt to bolt is 6"

AAL is add a leaf, the icon progressive leaf pack doesn't make your ride stiffer like AAL's do. It retains your main leaf (not sure if that's what it's called) and replaces most of your stock leaves. AAL just adds one for more rigidity.

That's the route I'm going once I upgrade to bigger tires. 1.5 inches would be too much for my puny 275/70's LOL

The Icon pack retains the main and overload leafs from your stock set, I believe its the top and the very bottom springs.

Did anyone install the Icon progressive leaf pack?
    Any feedback?
Looking for options, planning to swap out my 1" block in the rear.

I've got it. There's considerable space between the leafs. I'll probably switch it out for the U748 pack.

The progressive pack sucks, go Deaver or Icon RXT. @14burrito and myself are having issues where they have flattened out and lost lift. To me they ride just like stock leafs except they cost an extra $275. I’ll be swapping mine out eventually and I’m leaning towards the Icon RXT pack.
