So I went ahead and bought full King with reservoir and adjusters due to them being 5 minutes from my house and the customer service aspect. I also got the TC ucas and just need to order the deavers.

I'm now looking to my tires and rims. Do you run beadlock? I know I want 35s but the question is regarding the width of tire and offset. I'm not sure whether to go 17" or 18" rims and what width of tire to look for and then what offset to look for. From what I understand the stock alloy rims are +60offset.

 

Check out the Icon Speed 6 wheel in 17. One of the lighter wheels out there.

 

Those things are awesome, it's cool that it allows you to run 35s without having to do the body chop mount! Thanks for the heads up on it! Do you run them?

 

No I don't think they have the correct backspacing to fit with my LCA's.

What size shackles are you guys running? Want it level at 2.5in in the front. I know the long bed double cabs sit a little differently right? @KevinK

 

We didn't lift with a shackle. We have a 1" block on stock leafs, I'm embarrassed to say, but it's been performing well under our loads. Maybe one of the shackle guys can speak up. I'm not sure what the difference is in the DC regular bed and the DC long bed.

@KevinK i did a decent thing....

 

if you leave the coils at 2.5in of lift you should sit about dead even with no load in the bed....stock rake the tundra sits about 3in high in the ass with the crew max..so lifting the front 2.5 should just about level it. if you want shackles, go with coachbuilder

@KevinK Alright because I'm indecisive. How much cutting are we talking when it comes to 37s. Are you re geared? Keep going back and forth between 35s and 37s.

It’s not a ton of cutting. Worth it in my opinion for sure. Biggest issue is Rim offset. With non adjustable uppers you want to be around 18 offset on a 9” Rim or 25 on a 8.5” rim. With adjustable uppers you can go up to 0 offset on an 8.5”.

Cut and plate the body mount, flatten the pinch weld, throw the sway bar in the trash, trim the stock bumper if you have one and the stock skid if you have one.

We’re still stock geared with no immediate reason to change. If you have the tow package you have 4.30 gears so it’s no biggie. If you have the non-tow package 4.10 gears, you’ll want to regear. The Tow/Haul button is the indicator - if you have that, you have 4.30.

Awesome thank you. Now it's just whether I want my DD on 37s. I plan on doing long raod trips and i dont want my truck to suffer bc of the bigger tires. I keep going back and forth.

 

You will when you have 37s under The Truck.

Our truck is my wife’s daily driver. And we just did 4500 miles from AZ to OH and back. Aside from the bad alignment killing 2 tires (would have happened regardless of size. We somehow had 5/8” toe out) they were perfect. We’ve been on 37s for two years and 30k miles.

 

Nothing besides a loss of power huh? I just don't want to be reducing the life of my drivetrain by over stressing it. But if it's minimal differences I'm for it.

I drive a lot i have 175K + miles and 75 k have been on 37's never a problem or doubt in mind mind, would do it again
