So, I'm out hunting the day before Christmas and coming up out of a wash we sort of high-center as we slip over the berm. See the picture, got a pretty good gouge along the bottom of the passenger door on the drivers side.

Had hoped to not get sliders but now I see it as inevitable. So I'm asking for recommendations...

Prefer bolt ons so I can avoid weld heat on the frame. Would like to be able to lift the side of the truck with a hi-lift jack.

Am really wanting to hear from those with real world experience. Have you jacked up the side of you Tundra with them without damage (bending)? Have you ground mounting bolt heads off on rocks? Have looked at them on line and really like the white knuckle, thanks...

Do you have the all pro on your rig? Have you been where they ground out or hi-centered?
I have looked at these on line and they do look good. Could not find any install pictures on their site. Are they bolt on?
    Thanks.

No I wish. I have a dc they list them for cm only. Need to do a little checking to see if they would fit. Bolt or weld I believe.

The best thing about rock sliders is protection from door dings from car doors. I got so many door dings in my Tacoma until I got the sliders. Then they stopped. Also protected well from run away shopping carts.
Keep getting them in the tundra. Need to get some for protection now.

Tell me a bit about the plan. DOM?, dia., and promise me I can lift the side with the hi-lift and I will gladly wait. Between my bad back and empty wallet I have little choice lol.

    Oh one or two.
Hybrid design with the same look as our Tacoma sliders. 2×2× .188 wall square tube inner rail and legs to the frame and 1.75×.120 wall round DOM tube outer rail. Full length .188 P&O plate frame plates.
You can see out sliders on the site for a reference bayareametalfab.com

jlee, after checking out your website and the fabrications for the Taco and 4runner, I have no doubt you will probably have sliders superior to the white knuckle or anything else out there. I am looking forward to seeing them and will wait. When do you think? Feb or Mar?

Is there any chance the 46g fuel tank I have installed might interfere with access to the mounts?

    thanks,

Yeah that sounds about right. I just have to design the frame plates and we will be ready to start taking orders. I need to get a set built for mine so I can have a step so I hope sooner then leter.

I am really interested in a set of your sliders to jerry. The ones you have for the 4Runner with the flair at the back are sick. Keep us updated!!
