Removing front tow hooks

    does anybody know how to remove the front tow hooks? I saw someone’s truck on here with red ones and it was pretty dope.

    What bull bar is that, me likey! I had a ARIES 4" bull bar on my 2010 Tundra and loved it, only with that gen, the hood would scrap a little when opening and closing hood!

    I had them remove mine for me when I got my oil chanced and tires rotated, because I could not get them to break free by hand with just the sockets I had. I plan to do mine red when I get the chance too.

    When I installed the Pro Skid Plate, I had to remove the tow hooks. After installation, the instructions said:

    "Reinstall the tow hooks and torque the tow hook bolts to 43 ft-lbf (59 N-m)"

    Ummm. Stuff
    Has anyone ever seen someone replace a tow hook with a 2 inch hitch receiver? I have been thinking about trying this to be able to use my winch up front as well as in the back without having to use an after market bumper or lose clearance with a full front hitch. I think it would handle the weight just fine.
