2018 aftermarket security/remote start

    pretty disappointed, went to get a security/remote start installed today and I guess the 2018 has been changed so much electronically that there is currently no system available to install on it. Was going with the same but new upgraded Clifford system I had installed on my 2013 but the company had my truck for a few hours before they called and said they couldn’t do it due to the electrical system not being compatible with any current or past system available.

    I have that one with the MyCar add on. It works great on my 2018. I just posted a quick tutorial on my install. Let me know if you want more info.

    I sent you the link. Post #2. Its a nice setup. They sell them pre-programmed on eBay, or buy it on Amazon and program it yourself.

    go on FB and join AOT (ALLOUTTUNDRAS) and look up tech12v his name is James Randy Taylor. He hooked me up with mine for my 2018. Works like a charm. Also have the MyCar app.

    Windows tinted, window visors. Bedrug, led bedlights, Nfab nerf step bars, Lund toneau cover, Evo One remote start, BAMufflers 8"
    I have the Evo One on my '18 and it works pretty good. Only issue I have is that every so often, the remote start triggers the alarm when starting. I'd rather deal with it than rip it all apart again!

    Did you install he compustar your self? I took my compustar out of my 4Runner and want to put it in my tundra but not sure what bypass I’ll need with the h key?

    I had a shop do mine. Compustar remote start with a idatalink blade module. Only issue is I have to use the key to unlock the door after remote starting.
