I researched the yellow light a bit last night. It does perform better in foggy conditions, dense rain, and snow. The yellow light "cuts through" better, where white light will reflect and make a "wall". Looks cool too. I want to change my factory fogs over to accept a standard LED pod, will probably go with yellow/amber as well.

Rago with extensions. These are the Freedom LED offered in the group buy and some cheap LEDs that I modified to be yellow.

@Backslider is that 3M protective film that you used to get the yellow?

Well sweet I always thought they did better. and I've seen a few of the conversion to fit a pod in the factory spot, they look pretty damn good when they do that.

You dont need shorter mounts....just need to rotate the mounts you have, they are installed backwards.

Anyone seen any Tundras with led spotlights? Are they even legal in some states?

I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to but my Baja Designs on the ditch brackets are spots. I've got a feeling you're talking about something much larger though?

I was thinking something like this. It would kinda be nice to actually aim a solid light in a specific direction. But I love the idea of having solid brackets to hold some legit lights so that is why I am currently looking at Rago Fabrication. http://www.larsonelectronics.com/p-...dGybxg3-kwmr8EGKUGreGIjsJLn9LjwxoCGKcQAvD_BwE

@sdhq_offroad A-pillar mounts keep my @Baja Designs S2pros very low and tight to the hood as not to have a tall and obvious mount. After all, I’m not going for them to stand out, rather functionality instead.

These fit perfectly and are adjustable so you can angle in any direction you want. These are the ones @boardude encouraged me to get and they are perfect

Thanks. I thought I'd see the strap part in the photo but I don't. I'm sure I'll understand it better if my bumper ever shows up.

The strat is not a strap, it’s a slotted and flat-ish post that has holes and grooves for bolts

I have been thinking about mounting these on ditch light brackets facing forward. I can't decide how they would look. I kinda like the round look but not sure if they're to big.

I spoke with N-Fab, "cause 4wp couldn't tell me sh**, it should've left Texas at the beginning of last week and headed to 4WP warehouse in Compton Ca. 4wp anticipated shipping date has been bumped out to the 18th of this month.

The brackets wrap around the hood. As far light direction your cam aim the light straight ahead or off to the side. Mine are angled out a bit

I looked up Rago Fab and they list different ones for 2nd and 3rd gens but they look the same. So, kinda hard to say if they'll fit or not.

They can point straight forward. They can aim whatever direction you set the pod. But the reason I went with ditch lights was to have them pointed about 30 degrees off to each side, it puts a lot of light where you wouldn't normally have any with any other light setup.

If Rago has a different set for 2nd and 3rd gen then I assume there are minor differences. Based on the finished product and the tight clearances, he seems like the kind of operation that does his homework.
