Mark felt it was more important to go to his only child’s first birthday party instead. But we did have some good food at the party. :D

Joonbug, can you measure the rear shocks for me please... I want from top mount down to the center of the bottom mount (hole), and then the body of the shock, from top mount. and the length of the exposed shaft, ( I know sounds kinky! keep it clean fellas! ) Thanks! How much lift will you be getting out of that leaf pack?

D, you should give Matt at MCM fab a call about suspension, leaf packs etc. I think he can give you some good advice.

Ok, will do. I have been doing a lot of research trying to find a Fox shock that will work once I do a leaf pack and shackles. I will be dumping the 3" block in the rear and by calculating leaf+ shackles (2 1/4"-2 3/4") i am looking for a new rear shock that will work. Since the BDS rear now is really for the 7" lift, squeezed into the 4.5" that I have, anything shorter will be bottoming out. I would just go with Icon full rear package, cause its already engineered, but I want to stay with Fox since thats whats up front . I am close, called Fox to help, but they don't know for sure if the length will work, its all a "guesstimate".... and I already have spent a shit ton of money trying to improve on this BDS system!

Matt did all the R&D for ADS shocks and has a lot of knowledge concerning travel, shock length, etc.

The Icons are digressive and I believe Fox is linear. Don’t think you should mix them. Still need a measurement?

It's a multi-rate leaf pack. Depending on how you configure the leafs it will yeild 1.75, 3, or 4" of lift

From the very top of the threads to center of the mount is about 30.5”.

The taller the lift does it become a stiffer ride?

Thanks boardude for the info! I think I am pretty close to my decision on doing the Icon leaf pack + coach builder +2 =2.75" at the rear. This will allow me to get rid of the 3" block. Now just trying to get Fox 2.5 DSC to fit the rear.... nothing but money!!

Thanks Joon!! so, if you hook the top of the shock body, I am assuming that is the bottom of the top mounting position to the center of bottom mount, whats thats measurement? Looks like from photo its 2" down to that position.... so its like 28 1/2"....

I'm actually going to set it at the 3" option and ditch the CB shackles. This increases the payload and will help with towing

    Option 1 @ 1.75" lift ~ 30% softer ride than stock
    Option 2 @ 3" lift ~ 10% softer ride than stock
    Option 3 @ 4" lift ~ 10% stiffer ride than stock

Why not just go with the Icon leaf pack and set it at 3"? If you get the CBs then you will have to replace the bushings in order for it to mate up correctly. I actually have CB +2s now and I'm going back to stock shackles and setting the leaf pack at 3"

I will look into that leaf pack option. I have a feeling its going to be close to 1K for those alone, then add my shocks at 1200-1300, I may as well sell my truck and start over at rate I am going!!
