Wire light bar to fog lights?

I'm looking at at 40 inch light bar to put in the slot of the plastic bumper. I want to wire the bar to the fog lights. I hardly ever use my fog lights except on backroad without a lot of traffic anyway. My question is, is the factory wiring/fuse big enough to support/not mess up anything if I do so?

I saw this done on Tundra talk and said that's how I'm doing it. They guy I saw just bought a 40inch bar and said some of the light was cut out by the plastic. It wanted a clean look and it looks awesome.

 

Did you just put it on another switch?

 

I want to do this so bad but I have absolutely no need for an LED bar haha

 

Exactly my thoughts. They are so cool but I can't justify $500-$1000 (for a good one) for it.

 

I know, plus that grill is the perfect home for one! Hopefully someday. I think I may do a retrofit first to help with lighting, then maybe down the road one of these bad boys in the grill, seems like a fun DIY install too.

 

You can get some for cheap if you know who to get it from. I bought mine off eBay. One's shit and keeps getting moisture but my 30" and flush mount pods are great. I paid $90 for my 30" bc like you I don't have a whole lot of need for it but time to time I use it so I didn't wanna spend too much.

Ask matluth, he and I talked about his once. He didn't pay an arm and a leg but the quality is supposed to be great. Have to see if that still stands now that he's had it a while.
But if it does he's got the hook up for decently priced LED light bars

 

I know this thread is old but could anyone explain how I would wire my fog light toggle to the relay? I watched the video on how to use the relay and wire the rest of it and I understand that but I don't want to put a switch in my truck, I just want to use the already existing fog light toggle.

I have a 2016 crewmax, so the fog light toggle is a dial knob off my steering wheel

Guys would he get power from battery to fuse then relay, ground, tap fog power wire to relay to act as the switch?

Just ordered this one for my Nfab bumper. Price point is reasonable and has a 3 year warranty. I'll review once installed.
