Is that the mfg of the trd sc, filling the gap or another company stepping up?

Had sparks add me to a list while they try to get creative with more stock.

That's interesting, I wonder if TRD lost or ended its contract with its supercharger supplier. Maybe this company will sell its supercharger at a slightly better price point. Only other concern would be the tune, would they supply a buyer with a new tune for their truck, or would you still have to go to the dealer to have them flash the ECU with the TRD supercharger tune

Toyota didn't sell enough SC's for the Tundra. Great program but profit "margin" comes first. SC's are a hot commodity now because they weren't before.

I thought about getting one, but it really adds up by the time you would get it on the truck, especially since your kind of stuck to having a dealer install it, or you would risk your warranty.

For the $10K for SC install, you could turn your DC into one hell of a 4X4. With a few mods and ingenuity you can get 420 HP+ (as if 381HP stock isn't enough???)

The way I convinced myself not to buy the supercharger was that I figured my truck already pulls my trailer just fine, and as nice as the extra power would be, it would also mean having more parts on the truck that could brake or needed maintanence.

I can see paying the expense for an SC if you have a 2WD and plan on blowing away everyone's ass on the weekend "official" drags. heh heh. (count the pink slips)

Little off topic but I pulled the pretty engine cover off my 2014 SR5. Whats that intake made of? it's not metal. Looks like plastic. Do the older 5.7s have that? Just thinking if I had a SC it would replace the plastic intake.
