I assume you are talking about the Android settings right? The actual Android settings are in Chinese? You would think that since the seller is in the US and pushing into the US market that they would at least translate and adapt it to the targeted market. The backup camera warning message and speedometer in KM/h drives me crazy.

 

I don't think the Android settings are in Chinese. I've watched YouTube videos that show English text in settings.

 

You should be able to change language in the settings. I think you need a code to unlock that function. There are several videos that show how to do this.

It is in the same list of settings. Just in the section above timezone called "Language and Input".

Phoenix radios has several videos showing how they got into the protected areas of the settings. If that does not help just give them a call.

 

I'm hoping to root this using King or vanilla. But I don't want to brick this so I'll let others figure it out 1st.. We should be able to edit most things.

 

Thanks for all the great information....Seem like it only took eight, maybe nine days for delivery for my damaged Unit.....Its already been 5 days and my order is still "Unfulfilled" WTF. Its hard seeing all your post and how great that Head Unit looks. I can't wait to get mine. And with all the other post that write positive or negative things about this Unit, it helps gives me perspective on what to expect. Because a lot of the issues are minor and don't bother me. The only thing I didn't like, was how they packaged the Head Unit. Seems like they could have put a little more thought into it.......

 

Can someone help me I have the radio install but my HVAC is not working correctly. I know I need to go in and change the truck model. I have heated seats and dual control but the screen does not show heated seats and I have to turn up the temp to. Get cold air and turn temp down to get jot air

Follow that video to get I to the menu, you'l see a button to select for heated seats, then they'll show up on your screen.

Sorry about spotify, been trying to get my leds all wired up.ill mess with it later, I put it on my phone, so I'm getting closer.

 

When you're n the menu, deselect "show temp" that the one that kept showing -40 in the upper right of the screen, they said it' a feature not used in our trucks.
It' a pain getting the clock and date to stay, I finally figured it out, I live in eastern, but it' all based on China, so I did manual time set, then found a time zone that gave me the correct time. I think instead of -500, I'm -400, it all depends on where you live, trail and error. It always says 800 when it boots up, but when the main screen comes on, it fixes itself

Did you plug everything in? Including the orange box? That messed me up. Make sure your knobs aren't sticking too. When I first used mine it would jump up or down a bit

 

Well I can't get my havc to work. Tempture is going from 39 to 65 to 190 degree. Talk to the tech they don't know what's going om either

 

Yes I make sure everything is plug in. Tempture goes from 39 degree to 95 degree as in turn the knob once and if I turn more it comes back to 45 than 195. But maybe my truck is 2018 there might be some firmware change

 

You can't control your tempture on the adjustment it's show 39 degree on your video. How did you fix it or you just left it along

 

Does it do it when you use the touch screen to change It? To get that temp off of my screen, I had to go into the menu and turn "SHOW TEMP" off

 

I believe he is referring to the HVAC temp control not the temp outside indicator that was at the top of the screen.

 

Try going into settings and make sure the truck type is set to "Tantu".

 

Is there a setting enable for automatic time zone, time and date when connected to your phone and GPS like on an Android phone?

 

Does anyone having this problem? Here is a video on the problem I am having with the android radio as I am turning the know to set the tempture I want the tempture jumps to different number does anyone who gas the radio having this issue? I spoke to their eningeer in China, he want me to send the original climate control unit to China so they can come up with a firmware update. Would you guys send it if you were me? Sorry I was speaking Chinese in video explain the issue to the engineer about the tempture its not changing the right way

I have a question....do I have to have a WiFi hotspot for this unit to work? With the factory unit, I can play the apps just thru Bluetooth and the data on my phone. Will I be able to do the same with this new unit? Run GPS, Pandora, etc thru the Bluetooth link on my phone or do I need to add a hotspot to my phone plan to get the apps to work with data usage?

 

You can turn your phone into a hot spot. Won't work thru Bluetooth like the original unit

 

Yes, but it never stayed, maybe now since I got the right time zone.
