17 CM SR5 TRD levelling kit

so im in the process of upgrading my tundra and now considering a leveling kit. i am seeing a lot on eBay but i wanted to get your opinion on which ones you are currently using. what brand and how much it cost. thanks. here is a photo of my truck

I installed Bilstein 6112 coilovers set at 1.9". Perfectly level. About $800. Kind of wish I had just gone 2.5" to see what it looked like. With hood slope it still looks like it has some rake. I could always add a small block or shackle if needed. Just required a little toe adjustment to align. Not sure what the alignment would have been at 2.5".

 

6112 set at 2.5 without adding my CB Shackles, put 5160's in rear! Had 2 alignments to get it right and is spot on now!

So is your truck all stock in this picture, other than wheels? I think is has a great look.

 

yes sir all stock. thanks. the grill and side mirrors i wrapped with carbon fiber and front tints.

 

What wheels are those and how's the ride with that setup?

 

If you just want level - which is about 2in the front, I'd buy from Toytec and pay a bit extra to have them shipped assembled. Then you don't need a spring compressor and the install is pretty straight forward.

The other decent option is 5100s in the front, which folks say firm up the ride a bit. The install is harder though, since you need to dis-assemble the stock parts, change out the strut, while reusing the stock spring. Requires a spring compressor and guts.

This is a pretty sweet kit, which would be 3in front, 1in rear. But then you run the risk of needing to replace the upper control arms to get the alignment in spec... so they say.

this are MB wheels TKO 20 x 9 with Nitto Grapplers 285/55/20. stock ride, wheels are quite as stock.

 

so "just to level the front and the back" i need 2" lift in front and the Bilstein 6112 Series Front Shock Kit lift will do this without a need to replace the control arms to have aa proper alignment?
what is the matching shock for the rear to reduce bed bounce if you cont mind? want a matching shocks for the looks.

Your an interesting creature @matambo. Somehow you are asking every question you have twice, but not actually double posting on accident

The item you are referring to is adjustable when disassembled. I don't see in the listing which clip position they are using... whereas Toytec is giving that detail as an option. If your clip is adjusted one from the top, that would be 1.9 inches of lift in the front, which levels you off nicely. At that lift height, the general consensus is you do not need to upgrade the UCAs. If the clip is adjusted to the top setting - you would get 2.5 inches of lift in the front, which would likely be just a bit higher than the rear. At 2.5 inches of front lift, you are nearing the upper control arm grey area, where you may, or may not be able to get in alignment spec.

How did you mount the Shackles? What size are they?

i believe the are 3/4 and the shackles are mounted on "Elevated Suspension Brackets" check them out on Facebook - Elevated Suspension.

 

yes, I'm changing for AMP power steps soon! If your not careful you can slip on the N-fabs and bust your shins and that hurts like a mofo!
