Looks good! I think we have the same exact cap. Does yours leak at all near the tailgate? My truck has a front rake (need a front leveling kit) and water runs down the frameless glass of the cap and then into the bed through the gaps on the left and right of the tailgate I think. Thinking maybe a tailgate seal kit could fix this?

I’ve been debating between the Hulse’s and the Anza’s with 35’s as I’m about due for tires and wanted to move from 18’s to 17” wheels. How do they look in terms of offset?

Looks really good, but I'd recommend replacing that with new product. Rock and sand will grind that paint fast
and then you're looking at paint!

I recently purchased and installed the Vland Headlights and Tail Lights from EBay on my 2007 5.7 4x4 RCSB. I like the headlights, no issues so far. However, after installing the VLand tail lights I noticed a slight gap at the top on both tail lights. I only noticed the gap at night when I could see through the gap, on both tail lights. See the pics. Are the tail lights supposed to fit snug and waterproof? Maybe I'm seeing wrong?

Update: I compared the stock tail lights vs the VLand tail lights. Both have a gap at the top but the Vland tail lights have a slightly larger gap at the top. The stock tail lights are not completely sealed in the cavity. I answered my own question.

Did the base 2007 truck come with the factory with black and rear bumpers? Dual exhaust from the factory?

Not necessarily. Base is not a finite list. Generally it was black bumpers front and rear with black grill. no driving lights pods. manual windows and door locks. column shift. Engine would dictate exhaust but I'd say no to dual exhaust. I don't think I've seem very
many dual exhaust factory systems at all.

Just picked a very clean 2007 with TRD lowering kit and rear sway bar. It's gonna be a fun toy to play with, planning on a turbo or super charger and traction mods lol, I averaged 19.2 on the first tank coming home.

Yeah it is, from what I can tell they only made around 2,022 in this configuration and the Sport model is pretty rare. My wife's 200 series Land Cruiser made the same drive home with 33" tires, bumpers, sliders and averaged 16 I couldn't believe that. A few things I've noticed just poking around on it, maybe some of the local regular cab experts can clarify.

It has no tow/haul button like the 4WD models, can this be added? I really like using that button because it raised the shift points.

No trans temp gauge in the tach, assuming this could be added with a dash upgrade?

I've never had a 2WD Tundra so these may not have been options unless you got the work truck spec.

Also kind of strange it has an OEM 4 way wire harness for towing under the bumper but no hitch and the rear sport bumper doesn't even have a place to add a ball.

I've been retrofitting higher trim features (power windows/locks, optitron gauge, auto-headlights, etc) into my work truck packaged RCSB. I own both a 2007 and a 2012 RCSB, and I've found that they are prewired for a lot of features that are deleted from the factory. It's probably more cost effective to lower manufacturing complexity having one type of wiring harness and just omitting the control modules.

I believe you can swap out your gauge cluster for one with a transmission temp gauge; it should be plug and play. I bought my optitron gauge cluster from Tanin Auto, and you can confirm with them.

    20250909_125249.jpg

For other features, it's a trial and error process to find out if they're plug and play. I had to order a different main body control module, with additional features programmed, for my power locks to work, while the power windows worked with the original BCM. My work truck BCM had a different part number than an SR5, and I couldn't find a way to program it through GTS plus. You probably need to reprogram or install a different power control module for the truck to recognize the input if the wiring is already present.

I think looking at a wiring diagram and then cross referencing part numbers will be a good start. Also check if only certain drivetrain configurations had that option. There might be constraints due to engine type and gear ratios.

Fantastic combination. I'd sell one of mine in a heartbeat for that configuration.
