My Labor Day purchase showed up today, now I’m ready to go do some of that overlanding that the kids keep talking about.

Personally, I’d rather go underlanding in station wagon with an air mattress, fishing gear and a case of beer in the back and a snorkel for when I need to cross a stream.

    I have a Cat D9... LOL

Branson 1905H with a BL90 front end loader. The smallest tractor Branson (now YTM(?) made).

    No rear attachments, yet.

If I keep it and not upsize to another client's Branson 2400h with BL100 front end loader or buy a John Deere on payments, I hope to buy a backhoe, front grapple, brush hog, fork-lift-type front forks or whatever you call those.

I tried to wire up my DC-dc charger from my starter battery to my house battery but I encounted the OEM negative terminal ring.

I need to add a 50A connection here...But I don't want to replace the terminal...

    Would you:

A get an SDHQ terminal and their copper terminal post kit so I can add more but retain the oem ring... Or something else? I don't really wanna stack washers so I can install a 4 awg 1/4" lug here...

    Thoughts?!

This is hard to like, so I won’t. But I’ll admit……. I feel a little like the dad in A Christmas story when he gets a flat. I’m upset, but secretly want to see how quickly I can plug it.

I do miss my Subaru Outback, great camping and mountain biking rig. Unfortunately it couldn't haul a motorcycle without a trailer. This soft topper is going to spend most of its time folded up and tucked away, but it will make camping trips easier and I can stop carrying everything in the back of the cab.

I wouldn't bother with the SDHQ kit or straying from the OEM negative ring. It doesn't have to be connected directly on top of the battery. I have tons of aftermarket wiring including a DC-to-DC, and my negative loom is untouched except for upgrading to a larger negative battery cable.

You could stack underneath where the negative battery cable is bolted to the fender, or explore using something like a bus bar or Blue Seas fuse block with negative terminals.

I haven't had a chance to plug it yet, thought it was a slow leak I missed but I only got 1 day out of it after filling it. Hoping to get it today or tomorrow. I was gonna take it and have it patched at discount tire but the nail or piece of metal is near the sidewall so I'm sure they would just throw a fit about it.

Can you confirm the link to the set you bought?

The translucent parts on yours seem black...not white like the ones finding on ebay.

Had the same question. I think that’s just the pics emphasizing the white translucent part. Here is the same thing on Amazon with a review pic.

the reviews aren’t good. It’s too bad they didn’t just copy the OEM mount design

I don't have an air compressor large enough for an impact wrench anymore (and I use an electric impact wrench now but it's too big). My impact driver is old and not strong enough. The holder was the cheapest way to do it.

Any photos would be helpful. I thought about the bolt on the fender but then I thought that that wire looked pretty wimpy...

I finally just bit the bullet and ordered some battery terminals with extra insert areas for the various add-ons I’ve done. So far so good!
