Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor

I have a 2005 Tundra Crew Cab with 4.7 V8. I have a P0452 code. I've replaced the fuel cap. I have also smoke tested the fuel tank for leaks in the evaporator system. I have cleared the code and immediately upon startup, the code reappears. I am now looking into the fuel tank pressure sensor as the issue. Where is the sensor located? I have checked the top of the tank and there are two hose connections and one electrical connector which powers the fuel pump and provides the signal wire for the fuel level sensor.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

The pressure sensor is part of the pump module in the fuel tank. It’s on page EC4 of the FSM which is available for download on this forum. May want to look at the Evap System troubleshooting section

Properly diag your issue instead of just throwing parts at it. Start with Section DI-311 in the FSM

I had to replace the fuel tube from cap to tank on an 04, that was the problem.

 

Yep, there's a TSB on the '03-'04 Tundras for cracked filler necks which is one of the many "common issues" we have documented for 1st gens in the community info megathread.

Impacted VIN ranges here, but I think the code in that case is P0442. Haven't looked at the TSB in a while. OP is driving a 2005, which doesn't mean it's not the filler neck, but yours is clearly in the TSB year range, so I'm only saying ... "not surprised to hear it".
