    Hello!

I have a 2025 limited, with panoramic view monitor, but no multi terrain monitor. Everyone here has been saying that it’s impossible to enable it.

    So, I believed them.

Until one day, I read a thread about someone having their trailer brake controller replaced, and then magically losing their MTM. This made me curious. So I hit up my homies at the Lexus dealer, and they let me play around on GTS+ (formerly techstream) and after about 2 hours of fiddling around, I finally discovered how to do it!

To be clear, your vehicle needs to have the panoramic view monitor(the 360 top down camera) to enable this function if it didn’t come with it from the factory.

Step One: Get your vehicle connected to GTS and get to the main menu and click on system select.
    IMG_6726.jpg

Step Two: Click on Circumference Monitoring Camera Control Module
    IMG_6727.jpg

    Step 3: Click on Utility
    IMG_6728.jpg

Step 4: Click Vehicle Information Registration, then click the “Go” arrow in the bottom right hand corner

    IMG_6729.jpg
    IMG_6730.jpg

Step 5: Click Next on the first pop up prompt box, then click on Changing the Setting
    IMG_6733.jpg

Step 6: Click on Camera System Variation, where it says Panoramic View Monitor, and you should be given the option to switch it over to Multi Terrain Monitor. Then press next and continue to save your entries.

    IMG_6734.jpg

Step 7: Click exit! You’re all done!

Enjoy your new Offroad camera mode!!

What advantage is it to have the MTM over the PVM? Could you post a pic of both? TIA

MTM is able to be toggled on and off once enabled with GTS+, so it’s super easy to switch between the two after it’s done.

PVM allows for a basic 360 view while your parked, and while you’re in drive or reverse, it will provide a top down Birds Eye view of the vehicle along with the forward or reverse camera, to aid in parking while below 7mph.

MTM, when selected on, will give you a top down view on the entire screen, with enlarged side view areas, primarily to be used when rock crawling or on a technical patch of a trail. It allows you to see rocks and such underneath of the vehicle

Just switched mine today on my TRD sport. Took not even a minute to change it over to MTM camera. It takes longer to log into GTS+.

Seriously! GTS+ takes ages. Doing a health check takes longer, that is once you know where to look. I probably spent 2 hours digging through all the menus

OK, who's got GTS+ in the Denver area... besides a dealer that may or may not know how to use it?

Hahaha, just send your service advisor this thread link and have the technician follow along. Buy him a beer and he'd be happy to do it:D

If anyone was wondering, this working for my '24 limited with all options. And this works with the old Techstream program, I used a cracked version, version 17.30.011 told it my truck was a 2023. Basically every step was perfect accurate on the old version. And I used a Windows 11 laptop, and a $15 mini vim cable from eBay.

    Thank you!

I have the TRD Offroad package and I believe this is available through that, correct? I have this view on my truck, but I think it's when I am in certain drive modes maybe???

What more info is needed? I followed the original directions, that happened to work great on the antique program. The original directions were for the new, modern program.

There’s an on off switch for it once the camera mode activates. See the pics I posted below the original.

GTS+ is dealer only. Techstream, which isn’t a thing anymore, used to have a subscription option, which allowed you to do everything except reset all the immobilizer/keys

very good to know! It’s cool the old school
Techstream did the trick. I’m sure the menus looked quite a bit different than GTS, but I’m glad you were able to figure it out using my instructions!

mongoose cable is a necessity for either techstream or GTS+, but some have had success with those J2534 chinesium cables.

and then there’s the bootleg version of techstream, which I’ve never been able to get working right, but you just gotta dig around till you find a download file that actually works. I don’t recommend this method.

it’s in the TRD packages to my knowledge. It’s able to be turned on in any drive mode.
