Toyota Parts Ordering (online)

Has anyone had a parts sale from a Toyota parts retailer cancelled for "outside or business jurisdiction"?

I ordered some filters, drain plugs/gaskets, and molding parts and they cancelled it based on this. Are parts departments restricted to certain regions or something?

I did basically what that thread recommends, order was to a dealer down in Florida that had the best pricing and free shipping. Order went through, payment was pending on my card and then two days later I got a cancellation two days later.

Just said, "reason: outside business jurisdiction"
So confused! I'll have to try another place and see if it works I guess.

 

What did they say when you talked with them?

 

Most of the time I just use the EPC for part numbers. I'm in Texas and place my orders from Serra Toyota Birmingham, AL. As a wholesale dealer, they have very good pricing (even better during a sale) and most of the time ship for free with orders over $75.

 

I still have no idea why the initial order got bounced, they never responded. BUT, I ended up ordering from Fred Anderson Toyota in NC and it just shipped. Good prices and free shipping!

I'd call that particular shop and ask. I called about each of my orders to make sure I was ordering the right part. Good thing I did a few times as the part I was looking at wasn't the correct one.

 

Depending on what parts you ordered, some dealers won't ship larger or bulkier items out side of a certain range. Some dealerships have odd payment policies as well for payments for out of state. Else, that is peculiar.

I've had good luck with ordering parts from Fred Anderson, Toyota of Decatur, and Larry H Miller Toyota. Glad Fred Anderson got it sorted for you, though.

 

Because of ordering from Ourisman of Richmond, I learned that some sellers require the shipping and billing addresses to be the same!

I had to use a different credit card........which I oddly didn't realize I had!
