Yeah, that's a bear. I think, if I remember what @Hi06silver said, and apparently the instructions they provide, it's the rear of the crossmember that gets cut. So it may not be obvious from the front. It may be that the RCD cuts the front, and the Tuff Country cuts the rear. I really don't recall. Too many things to remember about these trucks!

So on my lunch break I looked at my truck and it is the rear cross member that has been cut. But since I’m replacing the subframe, not deleting the lift, it still looks like I should be able to just unbolt everything and remount everything to the new subframe piece. Definitely going to cross my I’s and dot my T’s before I start the actual work. My JBA UCA’s did arrive today so I got that going for me. Thanks for all the advice and assistance @shifty`

If you go selling those wheels, post em here first. My bro in law has those on his 4 runner and they look awesome. Love the old rally wheel look. Just looked it up and those have a +15mm offset, which is surprising - no wonder you're rubbing without a spacer. I'd have figured they would have made those closer to zero.

Yea I like them too, I was toying with painting them black, I got 5 of them for $250 when I started the project. But I do think I’m going to have to go with new wheels, just because I would like to get rid of the spacers (personal preference). I will post em here first when I get around to that. I have the hub caps but one of the retention rings broke and I think running with 1 missing looks worse than running with none.

I am fairly certain that the ball joint went caput and the kid took a ride into a ditch with a couple trees. I bought it from the guy who bought it off the kid. So I am not 100% certain

Awesome, great score, nice looking truck! As a new owner, you may find our community info thread here a huge help to get an idea of the big DOS and DONT’S, and make sure maintenance is up to snuff, since there are quite a few things that can kill your new Tundra in no time flat. That thread is here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/so-you-wanna-buy-just-bought-a-1st-gen-tundra-eh.115928/

I’m not sure, they came with the truck when I purchased from the previous owner. It almost looks like they are beadlocks with TRD stickers stuck on them lol! Either that or it’s a different hubcap

I might consider it, I have a problem with them being so close to the cab so I can’t utilize them very much more for just esthetic at this point
