@SAGE63 Ohh that is interesting. The driver side on mine has a rubber grip clamp style, but the passenger side has the bronze looking steel locking pin. On second thought, what engineer would pair steel on aluminum unless they were looking for wear issues down the road. I may just put a cap over the pin so it stops wearing my properly aligned cover. Bam problem solved.

ok the pictures. Also my left side does have the square cutout hole. my original rails did not.

That first pic the set screw isn’t even touching the rail! Check the alignment.

why can’t we just drill a 3/16 hole in the right side rail? That would make double locks on both side? I think even having the square cut out on the driver side is enough imo

Yeah it keeps slipping off. looks like I need longer alignment shims on the driver side and readjust the passenger side shims

I've tried calling syneticusa 5 days in a row, they NEVER answer. You got lucky.

Any updates on the Retrax issue? Was considering the same model, but might have to look elsewhere.

I emailed them last week asking to buy a replacement gasket. They said it wasn't available separately, so they sent me a complete rolling assembly free of charge. Can't ask for better service than that. Love my Retrax.

Yes. Retrax was acquired by RealTruck. I purchased my cover before this though direct from Retrax.

For what it's worth I bought a new set of Retrax Pro XT rails to get the "T-Slot" from Realtruck. $369 for the set I believe. I have the Retrax Poly version without T-Slots and wanted to upgrade. Might be a solution if they won't help you.
