Yes... one thing I will be doing very soon is plasti-dippin' the grille surround and rear bumper... I might do the rims... but... hmm I don't know.

- Removing the stock Toyota bedliner and getting Line X
- Getting a ReTrax Pro MX Tonneau
...Plan is to have them done by mid October.

I am rather fortunate as this truck came with many things I would otherwise need to get such as, LineX bed liner, tri fold hard tonneau, nerf bars, sonar and the dealership added the tow mirrors at no charge... I will be adding a propane system within the next month and prior to the snow flyin' but in no specific order...a back up camera, my Leer contractor's cap, plasti-dipped chrome parts and 'helper bags'. Of course snow/ice tires on rims are a priority.

Thanks... I am speaking of running my truck with propane or gasoline. I can toggle between the two using a switch on my dash... however... the truck will always start on gasoline and - provided that I have the dash switch set to "Alt" - it will switch to propane after the vehicle reaches 'closed loop'.

The benefits of propane are, cleaner running engine = extended life of the oil & less emissions into the atmosphere, the "at the pump" costs are 50 to 60% the cost of gasoline and you no longer have that noxious burnt gas smell out the tailpipe... it smells more like fish and chips, kinda.

The drawbacks are, rather expensive to have it installed ie: 3 to 5K, lessens fuel economy typically 10% and in some cases as much as 15%, you may loose a few ponies as propane has less octane than gasoline.

The 'break even' point is dependent upon how many miles you drive per year.... for instance, if you drive 20K / yr it can take as much as 5 years... I put 40 to 45K/yr so my break even point is closer to 2.5 years.. and yes i am speaking in miles not kilometers.

After you factor in all of the above, the bottom line is you save - on average - 50% overall fuel costs.

I have been driving on propane for close to two years and the numbers used above are calculated from my 1993 Silverado T.B.I. 5.0 2x4, a rather inefficient propane delivery system when compared to SFI.

.... damn.... I'm not trying to sell you anything in spite of what it reads like lol.... I'm just answering your question.

Haha I figured you had some experience with LP. I don't put that kind of miles on my truck so I never really looked into it, but I didn't think there was a "certified" system for Toyotas, though that was a while back. Well good luck if you do it! I would love to see how it all comes together and works!!

I'm going to try to get them to take "install pics" but I doubt it will happen... never the less I will take pics of the system and post them up.

MotoTundra... the propane install certification is a provincial government thing.
