Since we are talking about plugs, what would be a reason to go with a different heat range on the plug? Meaning, what signs/issues/problems would one be seeing? I seem to recall discussion being <10PSI, stick with the recommended IHK22's, >10psi, go with a step up in heat range. And the higher number means a colder plug?

I looked like mad for the IKH22's that Whipple suggested, only to realize that it was a typo as noted by @Wynnded and @Mdl. In fact, I still have no idea which is correct.. But I ordered them from RockAuto with some other parts, so shipping didn't bother me. As long as they aren't coming from Amazon or eBay, I don't mind paying a little in shipping - I've personally received too many counterfeit parts from them.

A colder plug removes heat faster reducing chances of detonation/pre-ignition. They can have drawbacks like fouling/rough idle/lower mpg. I haven't experienced those well maybe mpg. I went with them as it was suggested when I installed the SC.
The 22's are fine and if the plugs looks like it's over heated/pre ignition maybe try a step colder.
The 24's are 2 steps colder than stock.

did he seafoam the gas, oil, or both? I usually do both, and change the oil after 100 miles

Both as I understand it, and one or two tanks through and back to what it was doing before. I don't think he's changed the oil yet.

While researching the chain tensioner issues, I’ve seen a few cases where Seafoam has quieted down the timing chain tensioner, only to have it return shortly after. Same goes for a fresh oil change as Viktor said it would. Mine would quiet down after an oil change for 500 miles or so, but mine also only made noise at a very particular temperature. Stone cold or fully warm, it never made noise - just if I idled about 5 minutes in to the warm up cycle.

It would be interesting to know if your customer’s truck is making enough noise from the timing chains to register as knock. It wouldn’t be a total surprise to me.

I’d try some Valvoline restore and protect for a few oil changes if I got the tensioner clatter.

I won't regurgitate too much from the Sniv Speed Shop thread, but after 10x revisions over the past two days, I'm finally comfortable offering a 14-21 gauge mount for the center console. If you're interested in a initial production/pseudo prototype model and giving feedback, the prices are lowered and they are ready for shipping/building; lots of options from DIY flat patterns to customized front cut outs! https://www.snivspeedshop.com/product/14-21-tundra-gauge-mount

Looking at the diagrams, it seems the three share power at the D53 connector in the junction box between the firewall & air box. I checked the blue & wite stripe wires, all seem ok.

I just also got 0778, so the transmission has entered the chat. goody

The wiring for the sensors is in the same bundle as the transmission wiring, top of transmission to back of engine...maybe the harness was damaged during one of your engine removals/reinstalls?

This seems to be the place to bring this up ;).
Have any of you all with this gauge ever had issues with it displaying A/F clearly out of range swings or freezing at a particular random, clearly non-accurate value then maybe going back to normal or displaying -- -- ? When taking a log, it also shows the displayed weirdness. I've already replaced the sensor, but now I'm leaning hard toward a neurotic gauge but hoping to find something a little more solid before gambling another $350 on another one. Tomorrow I'll check to see if any of my wiring wasn't up to snuff.:hattip:

I've replaced the sensor already after 3 months.
Every now and then the gauge acts weird like you said..
I'm Snivtuned and never had any issues.
Not sure I completely trust the gauge either...chineseium....
The gauge cut out on me the other day, but turned out to be a bad connection..

    Have you tried resetting it?
I've done that a few times now, seemed to help

Both of the sensors that I've had hooked up acted the same, so I've sorta ruled them out. I've been resetting it by shutting off, then restarting the truck. Are you referring to trying a recalibration of the sensor? I seems like it wants to act up when I'm wanting to get a log on the Interstate and then I have to wait until the next interchange to stop/start.

Yes. PSB-1 that freaked out sporadically. ECF-1 was AFR dead out of the box. I had to send it in for review, a month later I got a new one.
