OEM... I think Toyota hit a home run on the first pitch.

I've been known to endlessly dither when purchasing a new vehicle. However, the first time I saw the Tundra (I think I got one of the first Tundras on the dealer's lot in Chattanooga) I was calling my banker before the test ride was over. Other than installing Michelins every 70k miles, the truck is configured the same as the day I drove it off the lot 25 years ago.

So I know the 2024 Tacoma wheels won’t work due to hub bore size. But will the 2024 4runner wheels work. Because the 5th gen of the 4runner went from 2009-2024 vs the 3rd gen tacoma going from 2016-2023.

The reason I ask is I found some trd pro wheels with wild peaks on them for around $1200 off a 2024.

I’ll attach some screenshots of the wheel specs and part number. All the specs look correct, but I can’t seem to find the bore size. I also checked the wheel website and it said 2024 4runner was 106.1.

I'm sure these would rub with stock ride height, and I haven't bothered checking the offset, but I keep looking at these 33" pizza cutters on craigslist. The snow flakes are really starting to grow on me.

I've got these and they fit. I think they technically are 5th gen 4 runner. See my profile pic. Here's the Part No.

17" TRD Cast Aluminum Wheel - Gloss Gunmetal Gray
    Part Number: PTR20-35110-G4

Website doesn't give bore size on mine, but it does give this:

    BOLT CIRCLE / P.C.D. 6x139.7

yes these fit fine, i "think" off memory they stick out like 0.3" further than the OEM wheels but the hub and lug spacing is the same.

Found a set of 4runner snow flakes for $180. Pretty tempted to go grab them and sit on them until it's time for new tires.

Maybe hold on to my starfish in case I ever decide to get a set of proper winter tires.

On the 4R forum, those guys who have powdercoated (or plasti-dip) those wheels in black looks tits.
Not a fan of the snowflake at all, they are a dime a dozen and dirt cheap on marketplace and Craigslist, but after seeing one or two on the 4R forum powdercoated / painted black, they changed my mind. That wheel aint bad at all in black.

I'm the opposite, I prefer the look of silver wheels with the silver paint. Black wheels never look right to me on the silver trucks the way the silver ones do.

I like the silver as well. Now I have seen the gunmetal gray versions and they do look awesome, not sure if they were powder coated. Someone on FB Marketplace had a set that were the same color as these: https://www.hubcaphaven.com/p/27319/aly75154b-toyota-4runner-wheel-charcoal-painted-42611-35601.html

    upload_2025-7-25_6-29-12.jpg
But I like the silver on the red truck as well. Can't wait to replace the tires this fall and get something more aggressive looking.

Debating on a set of these tacoma trd off road take offs for $525. Wheel caps, lug nuts, stock tires, and tpms included. Not necessarily a smoking deal, but not bad. I’ve seen a lot of people with these wheels recommend 1.25 inch spacers and only recommend spider traxx or bora. I really don’t want to drop $300 on spacers and also have other suspension components wear out faster due to the spacer. I also got the double cab with fender flares so it’ll make it look like these stick in even more. It sounds like I already talked myself out of these, but I sure do like the look and price of these.

I ended up going with the 265/70s. They look a lot better with the Mickey Thompson EXPs now. They still seem a little small for the truck, but I may try bigger in 40-50k miles. Now on to replacing the right rear wheel bearing...

Those came on the 4th gen Limited and Urban Runner.
Those are 18" and a 285/60-18 fits them perfectly.

How long have you had these and have you noticed any fading? The black version of this wheel loves to fade over time. I've been thinking of getting that exact wheel.

I have these on my 4Runner...shop carefully because the powder coating is starting to flake off mine as the alloy underneath is oxidizing.

In maryland you deal with salted roads that oxidize the aluminum
Thats going to happen to every aluminum wheel up north over time.

I think I did pretty good. $1000 for a set of trd pros off a 2024 4runner with a set of 265/70/17 nitto terra grapplers with less than 100 miles on them. I bought them instantly and didn’t even try to negotiate because I knew these would sell quickly.

They have tpms sensors, but to my understanding they need to be programmed to my truck? I saw a post where someone grounded a wire to get the light off. Idk maybe I’ll just put a piece of tape over the light if it comes on (i’m yet to drive with these yet). I’ll post pics in next post.

Just need to get rid of the ugly black aftermarket bumper now. Luckily I already got one in same color sourced at a junkyard. Just need to drive and get it. Maybe some clear side markers too? Also a few scratches around the headlights that I need to clean up so it doesn’t rust down to a hole.
