This truck has almost 400k miles has been so good to us until recently. Main problem right now is power steering, doesn’t leak until we turn it on then just starts draining from a little above the steering rack. Power steering hoses need to be replaced soon but it doesn't look like it’s leaking from a hose, I don’t have a lot of experience working on vehicles but looks like it’s coming from somewhere on the rack and pinion. Maybe it’s a O ring or some kind of bearing that finally disintegrated and is just leaking everywhere when the truck is running. Any suggestions on what to do would be helpful thanks. Looking to replace everything myself I have access to a lift.

Also other parts that need to be replaced are: UCAs, LCAs, all ball joints, struts (I have Bilstein 4600s already), and Valve cover gasket. I’m considering buying after market parts for these, any suggestions on quality parts here or just stick with OEM?

First you need to get some engine degreaser and clean it up so you can actually see what is leaking. OEM only for LBJs (unless you want to die on the freeway) and valve cover gaskets. Once your figured out where it’s leaking we can go from there.

That's what the mechanic did when my Tundra was losing PS (AFT) fluid. Leaking hose that was easily replaced.

The valve cover gaskets are notorious for leaking, and raining oil down onto everything below.

Thanks for the replies but it was 100% leaking from up and out of the steering valve. We bought a refurbished steering rack and fix fixed the problem there.IMG_9975.jpg
