TRD light bar switch

I’m installing a light bar onto an oem switch. The switch didn’t come with a plugin wiring harness. I can get a 6 wire harness, I just don’t know what the 6 wires do. Does anyone know what the each of the 6 pins do on the switch?

 

Are you attempting to utilize the OEM TRD switch?

 

Yes I am. I just have the switch, no harness

 

Please be advised that the Toyota OEM TRD Light Bar Switch is CAN-BUS and doesn't wire up like a traditional switch.

Yes, you are better off using an aftermarket toggle switch

 

You can definitely use an OEM switch for any aftermarket circuit. The pins are broken down very simply.
2 pins-LED indicator
2 pins-interior illumination
2 pins-momentary circuit, this can be wired to solid state latching relay or PAC TR-7 that converts a pulsed input to a latched output.

 

I went down this same rabbit hole. Bought the OEM switch (which seems to be a momentary switch). As @Siblue mentioned it is doable, but I ultimately went with a switch from from Cali Raised LED on my Limited
