Driver’s side cab mount and passenger side wheel well plastic. You can see cleaner metal in first pic and then at its peak contact. No contact with skid plate at all. I will be installing Eibach stage 2 pro truck kit along with SBC UCAs

I was rubbing my body mount on factory wheels with 3” lift and 35s, adding a 2” spacer or wheels with wider offset fixed the issue

    Yeah, I know
It's exactly at 1.25 revolutions of the the steering wheel, while turning left. I can probably fix it by slightly adjusting caster. And as I mentioned before, I'm gonna install UCAs and coilovers.

    Wheels are at +25.

So with the OE’s and a 2” spacer the wheel was about 1” to 1/2” outside the fender, where are yours sitting now?

I'm thinking that reduction in offset may be enough to be causing his rubbing; that and not all same size tires are the same size.... 285/75s are about the limit depending on brand for not getting rub w/a +60 offset

    1" outside the fender

I think that's the case. I read someone here is running the same size on OEM TRD Pros if I'm not mistaken, with no rubbing. I agree that not all same tire sizes are the same size. These are 35.1"

Yeah might be a hare too big, just chop the body mount and be done; going with more offset might make it worse

It’s about the same as running wheels with +10 offset, or a 9” wide wheel with ~+22mm offset.

No, seriously. It’s the same. I run stock wheels, no spacers, and couldn’t care less what somebody else puts on their rigs. But the topic has been discussed: the only difference between spacers and more negative offset wheels is an extra component in the hub assembly with the ‘potential’ for failure - not to be confused with a ‘propensity’ for failure. As far as your hub is concerned, leverage is leverage and the hub is seeing the same moment via spacers as it is from more aggressive offsets.

The biggest hazard to spacers is the person installing them lol

most failures are because people don’t install them correctly or don’t get hubcentric spacers

You're both right, actually. It is the same, aside from additional failure points. But it doesn't invalidate what grave said - moving the center line of the wheel outward does have some (how much is another topic) affect on the bearings, it's just physics. Put a 5lb weight in your hand and hold your arm out straight for 5 mins, wait till the next day and put the same weight on your elbow with your arm out straight again. You'll notice a marked difference in fatigue. It all comes back to center of gravity.

Would it change your mind to know that every light duty dually runs 5” spacers on the front wheels…?
