I think the red/yellow is for ignition power when using their provided switch. I think you can bypass the entire harness and switch and run to a spod/switch pro style controller with just a signal wire. Looking at it now I think it's the lt blue wire.

That's the old style twin and old harness. But looking at the old wire diagram and new diagram the Gen 1 harness goes from purple to red and then ties into the isolator switch at terminal 3 and the Gen two stays red and all the way to terminal 3. I think the red wire is what I need.

A few... Definitely more than 2
Red is the main trigger for the pressure switch, which if it is under the maximum pressure will power dark blue and turn on the compressor, but, I have no idea what light blue is contributing to the detection pcb. Can you put a multimeter on the main isolation switch and figure out which other pin on the switch has continuity with the light blue wire pin 7? Is it a ground? A power? A switched power? That is the only gap for me right now.

I finally got a legit air system permanently mounted in the truck. I went with the new brushless ARB twin. The compressor is mounted in one of the rear boxes under the bed and then I plumbed in air lines to each wheel and built 4 hose whips to air up and down with. Just a note for anybody in the future, the red wire in the main harness coming from the compressor can be used as the trigger wire for a switch pro style controller.

I finally had a chance to get the remainder of the camper insulated. I glued 3/4" foam into the flip up doors and then glued the wood panel to that. I ended up needing slightly stronger struts to keep the doors open with the added weight but a quick call to OVRLND got me the info I needed to get some new ones installed. I also insulated the top of the camper and rear doors but I just glued some indoor/outdoor carpet to those sections of insulation and glued them in.

Another change I wanted to make prior to our summer trip was swapping to the snorkel upgrade pre cleaner.
I want to trim the snorkel just a bit to make the pre cleaner sit just a little lower but that will be an easy change.

    Looking good.

Wife and I were just talking about getting a flatbed and camper to travel more once the kiddos are older. We’re on an Oregon road trip and I keep showing her your build to get the “bank” approval.

Nice! I love this setup, but I am definitely going to be building a new bed if I can catch up in the shop. I want some more external storage to keep the camper less full. It's not a problem for good weather but we had a night/morning with some crazy rain and had to put a ton of stuff in the cab to keep it dry. Just chairs and that kind of stuff. The new camper interior worked incredibly well to just hang out in, even with the two kids.

What camper are you thinking about?

Man I’m all over the place with the camper idea. FWC, OVRLND, some older style that doesn’t pop up. Nothing set in stone, just thinking about future adventures and wanting the right setup for just me and the wife.

I don't know what I would replace mine with if I were to change. We built a bed for a long bed ram 3500 a while back that got an OVRLND camper put on it. I really liked the larger footprint of the 3500 camper. If I were to go any bigger I really like the flatbed 4 wheel camper or a bundutec flatbed version but I would go to a 3/4 or 1 ton at that point.
A hard sided non pop up camper would be really nice, but I like not having as many overhead height restrictions. And knowing me it would be on big tires again and make it even more important to try to keep a smaller profile camper. If money wasn't an issue I'd get a Supertramp or one of the new crazy high end campers that are coming out weekly.

This is the ram we built, it has tons of storage and not even touching the 3500 payload.

The more we think about the more we feel a diesel truck is in our future. But if we can keep the camper light we’re going to definitely keep the Tundra since it’s paid off, low miles, and reliable. Our minds are all over the place haha. We go back and forth with the build which is keeping things slow right now. Not in a hurry for sure.
