Good work! I left my radiator in place also until I needed more clearance for my crankshaft pulley puller. When I pulled it I decided to just buy a new one instead of putting the old one back in. Mission creep….

I know this is n old thread but I’m
Curious if anyone has a pulley puller on hand when doing this job? I’ve seen videos of the Crank pulley being very stuck where even a pry bar struggles.

I’d like to grab a pulley puller to have on hand just incase. I bought a crank holder to
Be safe. If anyone has a link to a pulley puller they like, I’d love to grab one.

    thanks,

Did my 2005 a couple weeks ago. Used the crank holder with no issues to loosen the bolt. Didn't need a puller. Just used 2 big screwdrivers and gently slid the pulley off by prying on either side. I was shocked how easily it came off.

The pulley only has the 2 bolt holes that will hold on the crank holder, so the simplest of pullers will work, if needed.

I’ve done my 01 Sequoia three times now. Plenty of room with the rad in place. Just put cardboard behind it to protect fins and your skin. Hit crank bolt with impact and every time, the pulley comes off with my hands. Clean the end of the crank good and pulley bore before installing.
