Thanks. That price isn't too bad. I didn't feel like spending $100 on one and given a dog and kiddo I wanted something I could tuck in the seat back pocket to keep from getting stepped on.

Usually in that case, I find the other vehicle which had the larger bar, like ... say it's a 2005 Sequoia 4WD that has the larger bar. I'll go to Google, search for 2005 sequoia 4wd VIN and pull the first confirmed VIN I find at any dealer website. Plug that into the EPC site. Go to the section I mention and grab the part number it spits out, specifically in this case, I'd probably pull the part number for the sway bar bushing, because the OEM bushing is stamped with the diameter. Then I'll shop it out that way.

Changed the Upper Strut mounts today. I know, probably easier to by a new assembly it the 5100s and coils are only a year old or so.

I tell you what though.. I’m DONE with suspension work. Unless it’s (ironically) the LBJs which to me are most easy despite it being a huge FGT pain point, I won’t have it. The strain and sweat it took to finally weasel those MFs back in were insane. Marked them and everything. Had to end up dropping the UCA a bit and the LBJ bolts just to get clearance. And it was the same ring option, less than 1” lift!

I bought this last year. It's worked just fine for a year. Fits great. I always have a windshield shade for my vehicles. Never needed to spend much money.

I’m with you on that… hell I didn’t even want to research all the parts. I think this kit is worth it it. Genuine Toyota parts just insert VIN….lolIMG_0830.png

    Well today......

We pulled the 2 axle trailer loaded with Orange Blossom (2012 Husqvarna 48" cut rider with chains on the back wheels), Little Red which is my 50 inch cut Toro zero turn, and the TB 230 self-propelled mower plus two weedeaters, fuel, hand tools, etc.

Did four yards with the last two late in the afternoon running past dark but OMGosh the heat! Sweat poured off us and one yard took some 3 hours (most of that weedeating) and that was after already mowing it for two hours the other day. Now to how the Tundra did.

Went into and out of 4wd Hi so easily both I and the wife were truly impressed (need 4wd to pull the big trailer up a gravel hill from a dead stop at the bottom).

When we left wife remembered (thank you Lord Jesus) to remind me of that big honking bump in the road at the bottom of this steep hill we have to climb. I slowed to about 5 mph, eased all wheels over the bump, and then "put my foot into it." Tundra accelerated nicely, allowing us to top that hill with ease. We got off the highway and had to stop for a redlight at the bottom. There are three stop lights we need to time just right to keep from having to stop on the next hill. Light turned green and we took off. I nailed each green light, topping that hill around 60 mph and thanking the Lord we made the greens each time. Tundra has plenty of power. :)

I noticed my truck squats a bit with that trailer and load. I may look into changing the rear shocks (?) to see if I can correct that stance but no hurry, she remains completely controllable.

Don't assume that I have not already attempted several different searches for this part number before posting my request here. If you can't answer the question with a correct part number, maybe you should not reply at all.

Got a new accessory for her. I’ll sometime place a towel over my windshield and it helps keep the cab cooler. Figured a snow cover would work similarly and be handy during winter. IMG_1136.jpg
IMG_1137.jpgNice compact too. Easy to store in truck

Not sure laying black fabric against the glass in this heat and sun is a good idea.

Think it’ll get stuck to the glass or heat wise?

Only intend to use it when I’m out and about. Not a daily use item

Yeah, that's the solution alright. Or, maybe you can take the attitude somewhere else, to another forum, if you expect everyone here to bend over backwards to do legwork you can easily accomplish yourself given directions provided.

I like how you were literally helping him solve his problem and being constructive on ways to find certain part numbers. And he got mad you didnt have the actual part number for him on a silver platter.

Knowing you, you would give the part numbers when you can, but just because you didnt have it in this instance it was somehow your problem. LOL

    You know me well...

Literally just got back from 16 days in midcoast Maine, enjoying the little bit of summer I get with the kids, before I've got to start grinding again with new customers, trying to make this new business take off. Quite a few times up there, went full days w/o a signal. Still helped people where I could.

I will almost always help fully if I can. If I can't, I'll at least do the solid of trying to point someone in the right direction. It's how I was brought up, "if you can help, then help, and if you can't, do your best to help someone help themselves."

Classic Gen-X anthem: "It is what it is"

The black material absorbs more heat and could overheat the glass causing it to expand beyond design limits and crack. That would be my concern.

I’ll test that out. I understand the logic there but anytime I’ve put something infront of my windshield it’s stayed cooler than not having something infront of it.
