I used mine on a recent trip after 3D printing a nice stand for it so it can sit in the tray next to the 12V outlet. I found that the Radar Detector was basically useless on the trip. So many cars and trucks have radar devices (blind spot assist, cruise control, etc...) that the detector was going off all the time. I shut it off after a few hours of false alarms.

I’ve ordered all the hardware needed for a fuse tab and was planning on running the wires but after following the mirror tap.. what a time safer!
Thank you so much for posting!

I'd also like to know the details on this mount. I can see the maker, but the connection piece, did you go w their velcro mount? how are you liking the set up? quiet, doesnt rattle, looks adjustable, hows the angle when using, lastly, hows the plug access in the back? I use the cigarette adapter for inflating river rafts...

Following...I would also like to know about that Rubigrid setup as I have a very similar radar detector. Thank you much!

All the components are from BulletPoint. There is no velcro involved....I used their small, round magnetic mount on the shortest arm they have. I took the detector apart and epoxied the corresponding metal plate to the inside (tried the adhesive tape it had on it first, but the heat finally degraded it after a few months and I went the epoxy route). Power is through a MirrorTap wired to the backside of the 12V outlet so the outlet remains usable for other stuff.

The thing is solid with no movement, flex, or vibrations.
