Thanks for pushing me to piece together something on my own. I still wanted to have a clean and OEM'ish setup, so I did not go as bare bones as you suggested, but I did end up saving about $700 with my setup using the following... Actual all in for me (installing myself) was $636.39 vs. $1299 + tax and shipping using GCS, but I have to admit that he does put together a very nice kit... Keep in mind I'm in California so all my prices included tax and shipping.

    Hayden 689 Cooler (Amazon) $86.72
OEM Cooling Brick, Hard Lines, and Hoses to trans side (eBay kit) $332.80
Mounting Bracket Kit with mounting hardware, AN Fittings, and Grommets (Forum Member "Jmunk") $100.00
    OEM Hose Clamps X 6 and OEM Hardline Mounting Bolts X 2 (toyotapartsdeal.com) $34.49
7ft. Gates 27059 Trans Cooler Hose (oreilly) $49.63
2qts Toyota ATF WS (Amazon) $32.75

    Total = $636.39

I know there are cheaper ways to do this, but wanted to share my actual all in price for those who want options. Like I said, I wanted a clean and OEM'ish install so I went for a custom mounting bracket already designed and sold by a fellow forum member...

My thermal blanket is sitting unused on the shelf, no ETA on my SC rebuild from Whipple. I'd be happy to send the blanket your way if you are itching to get going on it.

I should be good. It is supposed to be here on the 13th. I still have to pull it and press on the new snout bearings.
I appreciate the offer though. Enjoy the weekend.

I might have missed in this thread… I’m needing to upgrade my ecm. No one I’ve seen or found has something compatible. XAT is telling me about an add on deal… I forget exact name. I’m setting mine up for more street fun and can’t get over 132mph and need to be able to control Trac system for better hook up. Ideas ?

Do you already have a built engine? Are you requiring a stand alone tuning option? The oem ecm can be tuned and optimized past your goals. HP Tuners, VF Tuning, etc can muster out some power with the right builds. Sounds like you need a LSD like a Powertrax...better than that, you should consider the Sequoia transfercase AWD swap...bolts right in and traction becomes just a word with the right tires...share more of what you have and you'll get more help...

I've seen a. stock tundra hit 150mph on long open roads in TX. I believe it was before hpt and removing the abs module or something like that. Mph recorded based on gps.
I searched tundratalk but couldn't find the video, 2013-2014.

Can't be that hard, I've had mine over 120 with the 5.29s too as I recall and it was still accelerating. I'm more curious about why it stops at 132 if the governor is disabled?

Not trying to open a can of worms...might want to consider a Deatschwerks DW300 fuel pump(forgot it cones with it) and used TRD 535cc injectors to start off right. It's just to keep it in a safe zone.

The kit comes with that pump actually. Agreed, should just do the bigger injectors and a tune right away.

I STILL think it doesn’t come with a pump even though I’ve been corrected several times. My brain just won’t fix that little factoid…

I believe venting just after the radiator by the front of the hood will extract a lot of heat. It's a low pressure spot.
@reywcms was thinking of brake vents for cooling. Not sure if he still plans on it.

Doesn't look like they are available yet, it says "available soon". Looking at the instructions, they don't mention cutting the inner fender between the engine bay and the outer fender, so it won't do much if anything.
