    The set I got simply replaces the OE ones.

    If you don't already have puddle lights, I think you'd need the Universal kit (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and have to drill the holes: UNIVERSAL TOYOTA TUNDRA SEQUOIA LED PUDDLE LIGHTS

    • The DIY installation requires some modification of the vehicle. A 1.5" hole must be drilled into the mounting surface. All wiring uses the factory footwell socket and our 74 base adapter or footwell kit (optional) to power each mirror (see what's included). Professional installation is recommended.

    Installed puddles in my OEM-style tow mirrors. Not a hard process, and I'd imagine using non-tow mirrors is a mite easier since fishing wire through the swing out arms of the tow mirrors wasn't fun.
