If you want it to break again in the not so distant future, replace it with scAmazon/fleaBay parts. Especially with tailgate handles, the reputation of scAmazon/fleaBay parts is horrible amongst us in the 1st gen crowd, we had some pretty shit experiences.

If the assembly is disassemble-able at that lever, buy cheap scAmazon/fleaBay part and swap out just that piece.

If not, use EPC to lookup the part: https://www.tundras.com/threads/howto-use-the-toyota-parts-system-to-find-order-parts.113808/

Once you input your VIN, the part will be under Body & Interior >> Lock Cylinder Set, and will likely be item #3 in the list. Note it will come with its own key; you'll either need to hit a locksmith and have them rekey the barrel, re-key it yourself, or use a 2nd key any time you open the tailgate.

You failed to provide any remotely helpful information about your year/cab type/drivetrain/etc so that's the best I can do to help you.

If you're a UCK31 (it's on your door sticker), it looks like the OEM lock/cylinder set p/n is what you see circled here:

Your code is here btw, should be same/similar sticker on your '04. It's on the actual drivers door itself, below the latch normally.
