2010 transmission codes p2714 & p0761

Mdl and TundraDude772, thank you guys for all the info, that's a hug help! Just finished up a bunch of shift work so getting back into this now!

 

For those have you that have problem solved on Solenoids, did you use TS at all? and were there any features that helped isolate a solenoid?

I've tested them with the on/off feature and on the SLU and SLT the 'clicks' aren't very loud compared to the S1 > S4 but they all function. ON and OFF

Checking the voltage would be a good move but it doesn't look like TS can show/display that data? Any input or tool recommendations would be appreciated, trying to narrow down a 'D stuck off' with minor very inconsistent symptoms.

 

Start by changing your fluid. I trplaced the solenoid, 4 different ones in total, and they came back a year later, right when the fluid change was due. I've been changing my oil every 15- 20k miles since I last dropped the pan.

 

The first thing I did was a drain and fill (once) and it got better but I'm more than sure the SLT is on its way out but when it gets hot. I'd like to find a way to test it in place because I know that I might be dealing with broken bolts and trying to minimize down time.

Once the TC locks up it shifts perfectly so it points to the SLT and not the SLU

What codes did you get and what solenoids did you end up replacing?

 

I replaced the clutch control, TC solenoid, performace D and C
I snapped 2 bolts on the rear corners and left them as is. No leaks, been over a year.

 

Btw, only reason I changed the clutch and C solenoid is because I would clear the codes and as soon as I turned the truck on they would come back, like the Terminator.

Yes, 312k currently just took a round trip to Pasadena from the Antelope Valley with some mountain climbs inbetween.
