Likewise just missed mine. Was at 82024 a few miles ago. Figured I'd catch it at 82028. May get it when I go donate platelets at lunchtime.

The word of the day is Palindrome
    palindrome

    noun
    pal·in·drome ˈpa-lən-ˌdrōm

: a word, verse, or sentence (such as "Able was I ere I saw Elba") or a number (such as 1881) that reads the same backward or forward
    palindromic
    ˌpa-lən-ˈdrō-mik
    -ˈdrä-
    adjective
    palindromist
    ˈpa-lən-ˌdrō-mist
nounPalindrome comes from Greek palindromos, meaning "running back again," which itself is from palin ("back," "again") and dramein ("to run"). Nowadays, we appreciate a clever palindrome—such as "Drab as a fool, aloof as a bard" or "A man, a plan, a canal: Panama"—or even a simple one like "race car," but in the past palindromes were more than just smart wordplay. Some folks thought they were magical, and they carved them on walls or amulets for protection.

I've been through that area. We went to Morro Bay when we were stationed at Edwards AFB. Wife had to go to Vandenberg AFB and we decided to go site seeing over the weekend up there. Did the Hearst Castle sunset tour. That was interesting.

What I didn't do today was order a new front brake set. The Powerstop Z23 13WL kit isn't available anywhere at the moment.

Put two inch thick electrical tape over the top edge of my windahield and the water is still getting in the cab from the rain. I seriously don’t think it’s coming from the windshield now. Decided to put some over the third brake light. We’ll see if that solves the issue, otherwise I’m stumped.

Where is the water found? I seriously hope you have already looked at the "confirmed water leak thread"

It’s coming in through the overhead console sunglass storage & map lights. Last time I looked at that thread it mentioned the third brake light, so that’s where I’m focusing my attention. Has it been updated with alternate sources?

That makes sense. That's why I asked. Yes, 3rd brake light, unless you have rust build up under the roof trim

Voted the happiest place to live, but don’t come here it’s already getting too crowded lol. Come visit though

Ya I was a kid when all that went down. The bridge where she disappeared wasn’t to far from where I grew up. Pretty crazy

The whole coastline from Morro to San Simeon/Big Sur is super cool. I surf there daily

This is an odd place for it to be coming in at. Your best bet is to grab someone and do a water test with a garden hose. Sit inside while they spray the water and you can tell when it starts to drip.
You do have an AC, so the third brake light is a possibility....The water could be leaking from the third brake light and the water may be traveling down the headliner to the lowest exit point which happens to be your overhead console.

    upload_2025-5-22_15-20-42.png

But it could also be the top edge of the windshield.

Nope. That would be my first suspicion knowing how they leak so badly on other vehicles.

It shouldn’t be leaking there. The rust is only under the center area.

Pull the overhead console and do the hose test. I’m also betting windshield.

And I’m sorry but according to my boy Murphy, the fact that you said “it shouldn’t be leaking there” almost assures it.

Hard for me to believe. When I lifted the old tape to put on the new tape, it was dry as a bone under it and the top gasket ALL along the top edge of the windshield after it had rained the night before. Still had water in the console both before and after I put on the new tape.

Drove it to Red Cross today, with intention to donate platelets for a quick 45-60 minute round trip. They talked me into doing platelets and plasma, so I was there for 105 minutes instead.
