I was thinking “How the heck would you know that from driving your Ford”, and then I looked at your vehicle info. Man, you change vehicles more often than I change underwear!!

when I tested one to buy it, it was pretty clunky when it switched, not a very refined feeling.

it was damn fast though, I will say that, it moves. but it broke down and got all haywire on me.

nice features though , that generator is something toyota should add!!

    I couldn't say
My F150 had the 5.0 V8. Love that engine. The rest of the truck, not so much.

The V8 towed great and got a little better fuel economy than I've had so far in the Tundra.

Was in a rental car the other day and that was my first experience with it.
Had no idea and a moment of panic when the rpm's dropped to zero at an intersection.
Immediately found that button and turned that crap off.
I drove beaters most of my life in bad weather and am hardwired permanently to never shut off a vehicle until I reach my destination.

They're already weak on payload. Adding a generator would hurt even more.

I think Toyota nailed the brake pressure requirement to shut the engine down.

BUT ....the quick shutoff when you shift into park is incredibly annoying.

The latter is the reason I would disable.

There are a million to chose from on Amazon, which to go with?

It would be amazing if the feature could be coded out.

Tint and wheels. Decked box in the bed. S and B Cold Air filters under the hood. Shiftpower throttle response controller.
The same where you have to slam the brake pedal to the floor before you can start it. Remember back when PARK meant PARK and you didn't have to do this stupid shit?

Can't blame them for putting in nannies when retards run themselves over and then try to sue for their own stupidity. Get rid of ambulance chasers and frivolous lawsuits, or make people less retarded, and this kind of stuff won't have to be added.

It will disable the auto-off when you unbuckle your seatbelt. Im guessing you are putting the truck in park (engine shuts off) then unbuckling (engine turns on .5 sec later). I tested and you can stay in park for up to 2 min with the engine off if you leave the seatbelt bucked.

It is dumb, but I just changed my parking sequence of events to unbuckle when I come to a complete stop, then put it in park.

Gotta get rid of the lawyers first. Toyota doesn't care of some idiot offs themselves, but they do care if said idiots family costs them legal fees for the darwin award winner's own idiocy.

Some food for serious thought: The Tullock Spike:

The name "Tullock's spike" refers to a thought experiment in which Gordon Tullock suggested that if governments were serious about reducing road casualties, they should mandate that a sharp spike be installed in the center of each car's steering wheel, to increase the probability that an accident would be fatal to the driver. Tullock's idea was that the normal process of risk compensation would then lead to safer driving by the affected drivers, thereby actually reducing driving fatalities.

Sounds like an extrapolation of the helmet/head injury data from rugby and football. As the helmets improved in football, but were left minimal in rugby, head injuries in football went up in frequency and severity. The improved safety of the helmets made players be more aggressive and lead with their heads, assuming that the better helmet would compensate for the reckless behavior.

A better idiot was invented, as they say.

    Have gas. Hate auto/start stop.

so many situations where is doesn’t even engage for one reason or another.

When it does, the lag between getting off the break and the engine turning back on is atrociously slow. My wife’s Expedition has a better start/stop than the Tundra IMO
