I’ll have to give it another try I guess. Should I clear the codes after?

Check for garbage buildup in the tone ring also, on the wheel it’s bitching about buildup in. Also, take sure the tone ring is visible near-centered or at least taking up a good portion of the sensor hole. Yes clear codes. I can’t remember if you need to clear them in the ABS ECU or if you can just clear normally. I’m more than a bit surprised to see you have multiple sensors bitching also. Almost like someone repressed bearings wrong, but probably not because it’s voltage/circuit codes?

Oh and I just looked up c1241 b/c it wasn’t ringing a bell. Basically that code suggests your ABS module isn’t able to get enough voltage to function properly. Which may also suggest THAT is the problem, and the other codes are phantoms caused by the module-voltage-too-low issue, eh?

I’ve not seen that code on here recently so if I were you I’d consult the FSM for that code string ASAP and start debugging.

I was looking though the facebook groups and someone had the same thing and replaced the module, but my abs light has been on for almost a year now.

It very well may be the module/ABS ECU, but if I don’t have handy cheap access to a spare to test, I would just go by the FSM’s testing to confirm it’s the module. The process is in there IIRC.

Factory Service Manual. You know, the thing linked in the mega thread near the top you should have downloaded by now?

IIRC = if I recall correctly. And a lot of times I don’t. But in this case I think I am.

Yeah it’s amazing. Open the FSM click on FIND in your PDF reader, and plug in your code. You may have to jump thru ‘next’ a few times, but eventually it takes you right to the diagnostic tree and all the info you need to diagnose the problem. Straight from Toyota. Exact same type of manual the shop tech is going to consult if they’re not familiar with the issue enough to directly solve it. Fucking magic.

Don't start buying parts until you know for sure what the issue is. I've tried three different wheel speed sensors and still couldn't fix mine but I was having different symptoms than you. I was getting random ABS activation below 5mph but my light wasn't on.

I eventually gave up and pulled both ABS fuses which triggered the light to come on. So now I live without ABS but my ABS light has been on for 6 years.

You don't have that option in your 2005. They changed the fuses at some point and yours can't be pulled like mine.

This thread may or may not help.

Strange, I guess ABS codes aren't in the '05-06. They're in the '03 manual. Grab a copy of that year and run diagnostics from there. Section DI-469. They're saying that specific code is either battery/alternator or ??. Fastest thing you can do to rule out one of the three is to go to the local auto parts store and get your battery tested. If your alternator is more than 150k miles old, maybe a refresh is in order., but you can test it. And of course, check for cable corrosion and terminal corrosion, and terminal tightness.

Anyway, yes, I think that code specifically is potentially triggering the other codes.

The FSM for 2005-6 shows the wiring for a double cab starting on page 454 of the electrical section. Looking on page 457 the grounding points for this system are behind the kick panels. Been raining some around here. Might be a good spot to check. Page 92 shows locations for IN and IO these grounding points.

Awesome. We’re just getting started over here. I’m tossing on some venison beer brats and pretty sure smoked cheddar links, Yukon gold mash, and who knows what the hell else will happen. Salad, zucchini casserole?

@shifty` man get you a vacuum sealer. Protect them beautiful sausages from the freezer burn. We are having chili from last year that was vacuum sealed and adding some smoked brisket. Probably gonna vac seal the leftover brisket for the freezer.
It's easier to control the portion sizes when the kids are home.. Us empty nesters have to take special measures at times..

They were processed at the end of January, and vacuum sealed before they went in chest the freezer. Just transferred from freezer to fridge on Thursday, and here they are thawed.

    Where you seeing burn?

No burn at all. Just seeing wax paper and assuming that they were in the freezer enclosed in that.

Those look like very tasty, well seasoned and well stuffed sausages. I would hate to see someone go to that trouble and get freezer burn.

I bought a chamber sealer a couple of years ago because I wanted to go faster at sealing.. Wow the difference. We put up 3 deer, 4 bluefin tuna and several catches of crappie and trout alongside of crawfish and such...

Sorry, not trying to throw dirt. Sounds like I'm preaching to the choir about sealers..
