You guys don't take anything serious. I was genuinely wondering what oil would work best. Now I have to go through hundreds, probably thousands of thread to find my answer. Then if I am not satisfied, I will Google my question and go down that rabbit hole.
Anyways, I was also wondering what the biggest tire I can run without a lift. Now be serious, just like I am.

 

The biggest tire you can run is the one that won't rub on something......

 

BTW, if we are talking fueling and such....I've gone up to E50 and this fuel system can handle it on the added boost map. Not sure of anything higher than that but fuel trims and AFRs were steady at WOT with JB4 map 5. Having this robust fuel system will def be to our advantage when running hotter tunes on any for of E85 blends.

What did IDC look like?

 

Just looked at the log and I dont think it recorded IDC. Pull was E48 blend @ 5700 WOT, trims were 25 (0 correction), AFR @ 10.3:1, IAT 98*. This just tells me I didn't run out of injector but not sure on the %.

I'll take a look at the JB4 menu and see if IDC is an available PID.

That is rather on the rich side. Depending on IATs and how the truck's combustion cycle likes it, you could lean that out a smidge and gain a fair amount of power.

This was an E30 tune prior to me selling the GTI. Obviously not apples to apples, but you get the idea.

 

Thats how fat toyota commands it. Toyota doing Toyota things. Thats for E10 tuning though, not E50...since the ecu doesnt know its on a blend

 

Which reminds me, I need to get a wideband on this thing so I can take a look at lambda, not AFR...so used to dealing with lambda from my previous car. My 1.4 cruze was fully built (I know, i know...a "built" cruze) and thats how I got into this boost world.

 

Friend of mine stuffed an EFR turbo on his sonic...wasnt anything to sneeze at.

 

theyre capable little motors, just no development behind them so far. Theres one guy on yt with a turbo 1.8....he got good numbers from it at 525 or so whp. I was on a stock frame turbo, so that was my limitation...but did get 230ish hp from that lil thing. Any slightly tuned fiesta would leave me in the dust.

Ignore the naysayers. Get a scanner of some sort and see for yourself. On the 5.7 the ecu definitely optimizes spark timing at idle and low loads when using premium. I suspect it optimizes valve timing and fuel injection as well. Have to believe the newer ones aren't at least as smart and would affect how they run.

 

Which gauge would you monitor to see the adjustments? I’m almost to a half of a tank on 93 and my tank average is up 1 mpg on my daily commute.

 

Scangauge will show ignition timing and knock learning values. There are others if you search the site.

Why dont you use the search feature like PNW tundra Mike said. Way too many threads on oil, fuel, lifts etc. But if you didn't already figure it out, it's called sarcasm.

I guess some people dont understand sarcasm.

 

Probably the same people who believe premium gas makes it idle better. ;-)
