Mine just shipped. Glad it didn’t get canceled. Modern Toyota had free nationwide shipping. $525 shipped.

Installing my hooks this weekend. Would removing/loosening the lower mustache on each side make the side tabs come easier?

I went underneath last night and see how the bottom and top tabs pop out and was very simple. The sides do look wedged in there. From a video I watched the side tabs are between the fascia coming out and the bottom mustache.

How long did it take those who have installed the kit to remove those side tabs?

how did you trim the side tabs? Snip the middle or snip everything exposed from the back side? I may just do this because there are like 20 other tabs lol

I just pulled the valance cover off by bending the middle section out first. The pop off one side then the other came right off. I trimmed the two tabs after the valance was off before putting it back on. You could also just use a screw drive and break them off from behind I would think.

Yeah with all those tabs the valance is NOT going anywhere.

    Good luck!

I did the same...bent it and slid out. Clip tabs off before re-installing and Bob's your uncle

Thanks fellas! Makes me feel like I can knock it out even faster now.

Do you guys think if I snip them with dikes from behind will work?

the kit comes with a new valance so I don’t think I’ll ever go back to stock unless I sell the truck.

IDK if it'll make removing any easier...its a must for reinstall w/o removing the front end though.

    Do it

Yes I had to clip the tabs on the new one. Fit perfect and not going anywhere.

So I got bored and decided to pop that lower trim while I patiently wait for FEDEX lol. I was surprised… Popped right off. Took 2 minutes lol. Hopefully that was the hardest part of the install.

Here’s a pic of the tab snipped off the old trim. Going to do the same to the new one. Appreciate all the advice!
