I cannot find the thread, but I am certain I read something...somewhere about the advice when steering wheel is maybe not center dead on and you need an alignment.

I removed the steering wheel at one point to swap out the stalk for foglights and I'm somewhat confident I got it back on exactly how I took it off but I'm no longer certain.

    Should I
    • Drive the truck straight into a parking spot (wheel "crooked") and then reposition the steering wheel....or....
    • Leave it alone, get the alignment, futz with it after?

If you pulled the steering wheel without doing anything for the suspension/steering and it's now off. Then you can just pull and reposition. It's probably just 1 spline off.

This. It's the only way to know. Especially if you're not sure that you got it right.
When was the last time it was aligned?

August 2021 during the suspension job. We couldn't get center bolt back in the steering rack and I've been driving it that way since. Finally got everything all fixed with that, bolt back in all proper, and need an alignment.
