1st dash cam. Pretty happy with it so far. Vantrue n4 pro and Dongar pro adapter

 

Installed my RCI HD bed rack

 

I used a 7 to 4 pin adapter and ran power from the trailer harness. No cutting or splicing factory wires.

 

Just sold my 2011 crewmax and I’m already missing it lol but I must say I’m loving this 2025. I’m happy I was able to get the limited TRD pro, based on my research that seemed to be the best one for me. Wish it had the sun roof and TRD lift package but I can live with that. Can’t wait to get out and drive today.

 

I'm more than a year into mine and I still feel the same way! Sweet truck!

 

Proper wash inside and out today with my little helper who loves the truck just as much as I do.

 

My guy drying the door jams yesterday. He is learning that a nice truck stays nice when it's cared for.

Had LLumar Ceramic CTX 15% tint installed all around with Ceramic Infrared AIR 80 on the windshield.
Installed a Amazon bed step and TripleAliner bed mat.

 

What's the weight capacity of that bed step? And nice set up!

Awesome thank you - did you add a fuse between the trailer light circuit and the marker light or did you wire directly & rely on the truck's fuses?

 

Apparently, I like to live dangerously, so I took the Tundra out for a 4100 mile road trip without the engine blowing up.

Some thoughts, in no particular order or topic:

1. I averaged around 17 mpg, with a best tankful of 20.5 mpg, and the worst of 14.5 mpg, carrying about 600 lbs of payload, with average speeds of 80-90 mph.
2. The truck is limited to 108 mph, and it still had plenty of power reserve at that speed. Pity the tires are what limit it.
3. The engine is a gem of a powerhouse. I do miss the old V8 burble, but its own turbo whooshes and smoothness make up for it in a big way.
4. Stability is great at high speeds, with no wander or float, and it tracks very well in stiff crosswinds.
5, The transmission temperature is steady at 194F while cruising, 198F at triple digits, and hit a high of 215F powering up long mountain passes over 11,000 feet.
6. The maximum fuel flow rate I saw was just shy of 10 gph.
















8. Did I mention that the engine did not blow up?




It is not perfect, however. The truck is still newish at around 14,000 miles, but there is a faint rattle from the right front door or the right side of the dash that I need to chase, and the differential does have a barely perceptible whine at around 80 mph that I will keep an eye on for the duration of the warranty at least.

Which mfg. window vents do you have? How do you like them? Front coverage OK where they taper down? It looks like the rears are much longer than they need to be.

 

These vents are by APILT. I agree they seem to be too long at the rear, but they go to the edge of the rear door, past the window as you observed, and work very well at speed with no added wind noise.

 

FOX 2.0 set with coil over added to front and shocks for rear. Measures at a gain of 2.25" in front without alignment or settling. Measurement show rear is slightly higher but not eye test. With air ride in high position looks better. Have not made adjustments to rear yet. Going to move linkage to highest, if that doesn't help will install Westcott linkage.

Still a work in progress, but thought I'd share. And yes, we'll be cutting the lower bumper caps to get rid of that ugly overhang. lol

 

gaps arent that bad...any work needed to get them like that? We did a little bit of work on my brother's fiberwerx stuff...not cf though.

 

Some of the pieces weren't bolted down when those photos were taken, so it'll be better in the end. Despite that, the body lines and gaps in the front are perfect imo. The bedsides are a differen't story. Those are a PITA to install and probably won't look as perfect but that doesn't bother me. This isn't a show truck. Expect the same type/amount of work to fit carbon pieces. The difference is if you do it wrong or mess up, it's costing you 100% more than fiberglass. lol

 

With that being said...any plans for rock protection? We ended up with these inner fenders at a local shop

 

No plans at the moment but I had my fiberglass set sprayed with a bed liner on the underside and that kept it in tact even after being beat from rocks on trails here. I may try using molded abs plastic next.

 

A buddy used big rig mud flaps held on with L brackets...worked good too. Im sure the bed liner will help too

Wired directly, i see no need for an additional fuse.
